2018 DIVISION TRAINING -WORKSHOP ON GENDERAND DEVELOPMENTFOR SDO-BULACAN PERSONNEL
To: Assistant Schools Division SuperintendentsDivision Chiefs and StaffsEducation Program SupervisorsAll Public Schools District SupervisorsPermanent and Contractual Employees of SDO - Bulacan
1. In line with the Department Order No. 32 series 2017 Gender-Responsive Basic Education Policy, it wasstated that the Philippines is committed under international and national laws to integrated gender equalityinto the principles, goals and processes of Philippines education. In connection with this policy the Departmentof Education, Region 3 through the, Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CMLD) conducted aRegional Training on Gender Equality Movement in Schools of Central Luzon (GEMS-CL). In this light a DivisionTraining on Gender Equality Movement in Schools of Central Luzon (GEMS-CL) is scheduled on June 1-2, 2018at Vista Venice Resorts, Morong, Bataan.
2. The objectives of this division training are as follows:a. Involve all Schools Division Office personnel in the promotion of gender equality and non-
discrimination through their engagement in the curriculum, learning materials and support servicesto transform gender relations toward empowerment;
b. Train and capacitate participants on concepts on gender equality education and implement thisconcepts in the workplace; and
c. Ensure that participants adopt gender-equality standards and procedure in planning, informationexchange and delivery of services.
3. Participants to this training are the Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, Division Chiefs andStaffs, Education Program Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, Curriculum and Development staff,School Governance and Operations Divisions (SGOD) staff including the medical and dental teams, and all theother permanent and contractual employees of SDO - Bulacan .
4. lnclosure No.l include training matrix and resource speakers and work committees for easy reference.
5. All expenses incidental to the conduct of this division training shall be charged against the Division GADfunds except the travelling expenses of the participants subject to the usual accounting and auditing procedures.
6. One hundred percent attendance of the participants is required.
7. It is desired that this Division Memorandum be disseminated to all concerned.
