Time-stamped andvalidated at the sourceDigital automation systems, likethe DeltaV system, are built toreceive, store and use data time-stamped in digital field devices(where supported). With theaddition of a GPS time server, thesetime stamps are within 1msec.Health of the information comesfrom status data sent by fielddevices and propagatedthroughout the DeltaV system.
