MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
An MBA is the most sought after degree in the world and an extremely valuable asset to an
individual, organization and nation. It is a radically different field with “action-based learning”
where students are asked to look at real corporate world and the companies, typically in their
start-up phase, rather than being asked to pore over case studies.
Today at the world canvas, many developed nations are grappling with recession and offering
fewer job opportunities. Hence, there appears to be a growing demand for both entrepreneurs
and business leaders who can provide innovative solutions to the world’s intractable problems.
“The world does seem to expect more from business schools than ever before,” adds Dan
LeClair, executive vice- president and chief operating officer of the AACSB. “The buzzword now is
that we need more entrepreneurial activity,” he says. “We train students to think like
entrepreneurs to find solution to problems.” In India, Prime Minister Narender Modi’s initiative
‘Start-up India Stand up India’ has also highlighted the ability of Indian entrepreneurs to
innovate and solve the unique problems that we face in our country.
MBA at a Glance:
As opposed to a traditional degree course, an MBA professional degree offers you a speedy and
fast tract progress as a leadership savvy enriched with decision-making and strategic skills.
Moreover, this field is highly profitable and attracting the other esteemed degree holders like
engineering, arts and commerce as an extra value added qualification.
Nowadays, Business schools are breaking out of traditional formats to offer a range of routes in
the form of specialization and area of interest. As against the ‘one size fits all’, we have some
specially tailored areas to meet the new demands of the workplace. In recent years, the range
and variety of MBA programs have exploded from delivery formats to areas of academic
emphasis such as marketing, finance, human resource development.
MBA Department
At DTC, the MBA Course structure is closely aligned with the contemporary business
requirements. The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is a two year full time
programme. The first year provides the students a strong analytical foundation in key functional
areas of business and management. This concludes with rigorous summer internship
programme which allows students to explore practical application of the management concepts
learnt through the first year. In the second year, the programme provides a great academic
flexibility to students, and the students are able to decide their specific professional area by
reflecting on their first year’s learning and summer internship experiences.

Further, there is increased awareness of our School amongst the fraternity of praccing architects and Academia so that our students are beer recognized and are encouraged to pursue further studies in specialized area of interest aer graduang.
LE CORBUSIERSeries of Special Lectures
Le Corbusier (1887-1965): The Swiss-French architect’s entry into India completely changed the thinking and the atude of the Indian professional from that point in me. Much of the architecture by Lutyens was eclipsed by his modernist approach of this architect. One of the first to realize how the automobile would change human agglomeraons, Le Corbusier showed how both Man and machine could be accommodated in a city’s form in Chandigarh, his iconic contribuon to India.
Le Corbusier's contribuon to architecture and urban planning regulang the built mass along with the aributes of its response to the seng was so splendid that it immediately started a revoluon of ‘modernist’ buildings in the country.
The Lecture Series dedicates itself to this great architect who not only changed the atudes of the Indian architects and policy makers, but also made an irreversible dent on the minds of the urban Indian.

Entrepreneurship &
Management
Series of Special Lectures on
The Series of Special Lectures on Entrepreneurship & Management is an open-
ended and perpetual monthly lecture series where various entrepreneurs,
venture capitalists, strategy & policy makers, industrialists and business
leaders share their experiences with our management students. The events
under the series include entrepreneurship orientaon sessions, guest

promong entrepreneurship and managerial skills.
Entrepreneurship is an important driving force of our economy and a high
majority of jobs are created by small businesses started by ambious
individuals striving for success. Entrepreneurship is not only limited to
transformaon of innovaon but it also transforms a raw learner into an
independent thinker and innovator who is also a problem solver in other
aspects of his/her professional, social and personal life.
At the same me, management students, drawn towards lucrave prospects,
need to become a unique proposion in them to be visible amongst others.
This series aims to create greater awareness of personal talents and skills in
the students. Through the special lectures, students are exposed to enhanced
informaon of career and entrepreneurial opons and are equipped with
strategies for idea generaon and assessment/feasibility of ideas.
The series also offers an opportunity for successful and influenal
personalies in the world of business and industry to interact with the
promising eager minds of the community and contribute to their educaon.

We are pleased to inform you that DTC has partnered with Spic Macay
and will be the nodal centre for all activities of Spic Macay in Greater
Noida.
SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And
Culture Amongst Youth) is a voluntary movement founded in 1977 by Dr
Kiran Seth, a Professor at IIT-Delhi who was awarded the ‘Padma Shri’ for
his contribution to the arts in 2009.
SPICMACAY’s intention is to enrich the quality of formal education by
increasing awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage and
inspiring the young mind to imbibe the values embedded in it. It seeks to
inspire youth through experiencing the mysticism embodied in the rich and
heterogeneous cultural tapestry of Indian and World Heritage, with a hope
that the beauty, grace, values and wisdom embodied in these arts will
influence their way of life and thinking and inspire one to become a better
human being. For this, the most accomplished artistes of the country
render programmes of Indian classical music and dance, folk, poetry,
theatre, traditional paintings, crafts & yog primarily in schools and colleges.
In 2011, SPIC MACAY was awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana award in
recognition of its contribution to youth development.
