A. Eligibility Criteria of Guest/Part Time Faculty & Non-Teaching Staff

B. Additional Eligibility Criteria

The following categories o f persons/applications w i l l be considered f o r

engagement a s part t ime faculty/guest faculty:

i. Retired faculties/staff of DITE, IIT’s, NIT’s, DTTE and other resources person of

prominent engineering college for utilizing their experience and knowledge up to

the level at which they were working at the time of their retirement. H o w e v e r ,

they shall be engaged to teach or assist in teaching only.

ii. Any other candidates who are eligible as per the qualifications and notified

recruitment rules of DITE.

iii. Faculty with industrial background may be given preference at appropriate level.

iv. For the candidate mentioned at point “II” above, maximum age should not be

more than 65 years and for candidates at point no. I & III above, maximum age shall

not be more than 70 years on the closing date of application.

C. General

I. Classes will be conducted from Monday to Friday (working days) b e t w e e n 8.30 am to

5:00 pm, however, in exigencies the classes can be conducted on holidays also.

II. Interview date and list of the eligible candidates will be notified on DITE website and

shortlisted candidates will be informed t h r o u g h email only. Therefore, please indicate

your email-ID clearly on application form.

III. The Diploma level courses are conducted from Wazirpur Campus, B. Tech & M. Tech Level

courses are conducted from Okhla Campus and Skill Development courses are conducted

from both the campuses presently.

IV. The vacancies of guest faculty shown below are indicative and may increase or decrease as per

DITE requirement. DITE reserves the right to cancel partly/fully the requirements shown or the

entire engagement process itself.

V. DITE has already obtained feedback from students for the Guest Faculty engaged during AY

2017-18, the Guest Faculty having adverse feedback may not be considered for empanelment

presently. The applicants likely to possess a threat to DITE’s Business Eco-system may also not be

empaneled.

VI. The engagement of a guest faculty shall be terminated any time the post against which he or

she is engaged is filled up through deputation/direct recruitment.

approval of competent authority to engage part time faculty for Diploma in Tool & Die Making

Course with the qualification of Diploma in Tool & Die Making with minimum of 15 years of

Teaching/Industrial experience in Tool Room/Tool Design and preference may be given to retired

employees of DITE or equivalent institute of Tooling in industries in Tool Room. This deviation may

only be considered in case no application/response is received for engaging the person with

qualification as Lecturer (Diploma) and is purely for engagement as Guest Faculty in exigency.

The Govt. of NCT of Delhi has considered the proposal regarding Hlr~ng of Pa::-

Education, Deihi and has approved it vide cabinet decision no. 2260 dated 30-1 !-201!-:,

to trnplernent the proposal to ensure availability of sufficient number of teach~rlg atit'

rlon teaching staff. The scheme as approved by the Cabinet for hiring Part .;ime facull:,

& supporting staff in degree and diploma level institutes is as under:-

I. SCHEME FOR ENGAGEMENT OF PART TlME SERVICES FOR TEACHING AN@ NON TEACHING POST:-

IN. Introduction: - Keeping rn view of the interest of students of the institutes, t h ~ -

princ~pals rnay compile the requirement at the level of institutes for teaching faculty and

other non teaching staff in the relevant disciplineltrade and engage the part time facrllty

w~th the prior approval of Director, TTE for desired number of faculty in their respect~ve

~nstitutes till the vacant sanctioned posts are filled either on regular basis or an contracl

bas~s. This will make the process of hiring of services of part-time teacherslyuest

teachers, timely, smooth and less cumbersome and will lead to impart~ng of qual~ty

education as desired by Government. .

m. Calculation of Vacancy: - The PrincipallHead of the Institutions will work r:::;

the expected number of vacant posts against the sanctioned strength atleast ttlres

months before the start of new Academic Session so as to ensure intt~at~un fii

engagement process well in time. As per AICTE norms, one teaching fi-lculty 17

required to teachltrain atleast for 64 hours in a month. It is proposed that the par-r trme

facuttylguest teacher will be engaged for 16 hours in a month and therefore to meet the

desrred requirement of teaching faculty, it would be necessary to hire atleast 04 p s i t

Two (02) marks for each year of experience shall be assigned to the candidate

However. in case of experience of more than 10 years maximum marks af 20 will L3e

assigned to the candidate. Only completed year of experience shall be counted.

The calculation of net marks obtained by the candidate in rlo their academic

prepared shall contain complete detail of the applicant viz. his name. parent name,

address, telephone number and previous experience, if any. Offer shall be given as per

the merit till all vacancies are filled.

Qnly after a ~ p r o v a l of the Head of Department (TTE), offer letter will b ~ 3 isrj~le(!

Such appointment shall be for one Academic Year starting from August and

end ing In July of the succeeding year.
