Suppressing and deleting
> Suppressing an item removes it from the graphics windowand regeneration cycle , but the item can be resumed .
> Deleting is permanent .
Both suppressing and deleting items follows parent childrelationship. Suppressing items causes regeneration speed toincrease . Suppressed item is denoted by black square .

Dynamic Edit and edit
Dynamic edit operation enables you to dynamically drag afeatures dimensions or its section entities.
-Features are regenerated in real time
-Child features regenerate in real time
In Edit operation features are not regenerated in real time .You need to edit and then regenerate .

Direct Selection
Direct selection occurs when you place the mouse cursor over afeature or component and click to select .Use CTRL + Mouse click for multiple selectionUse SHIFT + Mouse click for selecting range of items.
Query Selection
Query selection enables selection of features , geometry orcomponents that are hidden beneath another item .

Managing Files in Pro-e
Pro-e is a memory-based system , meaning that files are storedwithin RAM while you work on them.
There are 2 methods to erase models from session
1: File > manage session >Erase Current : Only the model inthe current window is erased from system memory .
2: File >manage session > Erase Not Displayed : Only erases
from system memory those models that are not found in anypro/e windows.
NOTE: Erasing models does not delete them from the harddrive , it only removes from session .

Copying and Pasting Features
The copy and paste functionality enables you to quicklyduplicate a feature .
You can use paste special option to apply move and rotate
options to the resulting copied feature .

Relations
Relations are user defined equations written betweendimensions and/or parameters . Relations let you expressdesign intent by defining relationships within sketches ,features , parts or assembly components .
Relation Uses :1> To define values for dimensions based on other dimensions .2> To set maximum or minimum constraints for dimensionvalues .
3> To describe conditional relationships ( ENDIF , ELSE )between dimensions .

SKELETON MODELLING
Skeletons Skeletons are powerful tools that are used to createframework for an assembly design . They can serve as acommon reference source for geometry and assembling
components . Any changes to the skeleton will automaticallypropagated to the components that share skeleton geometry .

TOP_DOWN APPROACH
In the top-down assembly design approach components arecreated inside the assembly module therefore no need to createseparate part files for the component .
This approach is completely different from bottom-upapproach where separate components are first created thenassembled by applying constraints .
NOTE : Even though components are created inside theassembly module they are saved as individual part files that canbe opened and used later .

WHICH APPROACH IS BETTER TOP-DOWN APPROACHOR BOTTOM-UP ?
Adopting the top-down approach gives the user distinctiveadvantage of using the geometry of one component to definegeometry or other component . Here the construction and
assembly of component takes place simultaneously as a resultof this the user can view the development of assembly in realtime therefore this design approach is highly preferred .
