The Ministry of regions of the RF has included the project of Arkhangelsk deepwater port

construction into elaborating conception of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian

Federation: “for provision including functioning of “the North sea route”

Deepwater district “Northern” is planned to be arranged

in the north-eastern part of the Dry sea inlet in Dvinsky bay

•To build up-to-date deep-water freight zone of Arkhangelsk sea-port for processing approximately 28 mln. tons per year

•To provide acceptance of freight ships with dead-weight tonnage up to 75000 tons

•To form extra up to 9000 new workplaces in Arkhangels region

•To rise all-level budget incomings

Realization of the investment project will allow:

Freight zone consists of 4 independent pick-and-place complexes with general turnover of goods: 28 mln. tons per year
