White portland cement for wall or floor finishing/decoration that needs strength, durability and the

freedom to create and design to your imagination. With properties of structural works concrete and

pure white texture, the results are strong and durable. Colors can be added to the works with

colored concrete mix to fulfill your imagination with no limitations through a variety of techniques

such as Terrazzo, Finazzo, Pebble and Sand Washed and White Concrete.

Suitable for floor and wall decoration or for ready-to-use products or sanitary ware such as

bathtubs, wash counter, floor or wall tiles. This product can also be used in structural works with a

applied as needed.

• A Freedom in Decoration Terrazzo requires adding liquid admixtures prior to the hardening. The work, therefore, can be adjusted as needed, both in

terms of size and shape. This method can be used to create unique and exotic decorative artwork.

Installation Instructions

Materials and Equipment

• “TIGER DECOR White Portland Cement for Terrazzo”

• For Terrazzo, use pebbles. For fine aggregare terrazzo or Finazzo, use (Fine Aggregare) such as

“TIGER Calcite Cement Aggregare for Decorative Flooring”

• Color pigments for cement works

• Additional decorative materials such as shells, resin, broken glass or brass, etc.

• Moulding equipment

• Polishing equipment


1. Preparing the area

• If the original surface of the area is a smooth surface, scrub or crack the floor first before

pouring over a concrete bonding agent. Leave until almost dry so that the white cement that has

already been mixed with the pebbles sticks to the floor or concrete wall without becoming brittle

soon after.

• Create a line/boundary to keep control of the floor level and color patterns. Lay down brass line

or PVC line using sand concrete to keep in place the brass line or the PVC line. Leave to dry for

24 hours (Ratio of cement to coarse sand is 1:2).

• For concrete pouring for floor leveling, the mix ratio should be 1:2:3 or concrete to sand

1:21/2-3. The brass line or PVC line should be above the surface at least 1.5 centimeters.

• Once the floor leveling concrete starts to dry, use coconut stalk broom with the end clipped out

to create coarse texture to allow for better adhesiveness. Leave to dry for 24 hours before

starting the moulding process for both Terrazzo and Finazzo.

2. Before moulding Terrazzo or Finazzo, cure water around the area to make sure of highest

water absorption. This will help prevent water absorption from the Terrazzo or Finazzo mix.

• For flooring, curing water before pouring the mix at least 1 night.

• For wall, dampen with water before plastering.

3. Mixing materials

Mix white cement with pebbles (for Terrazzo) or with fine aggregate (for Finazzo) with a ratio of

1:2. Mix until well blended and the mixture has the right texture. If color pigment is needed, mix

the color with white cement first before mixing it with pebbles or water.

4. Moulding

Pour the mix on to the area. Use trowel to spread out and level down the mixture. During this

process, use compressive roller twice to compress and even out the entire floor area. Squeeze

out extra water and leave to dry for 7 days before first polishing (curing water every day).

5. Surface conditioning

Start this process after moulding for 5-7 days. The first surface conditioning is usually referred

to as “coarse conditioning” with abrasive disc size 60, 120, 240 respectively. This is to erase all

scratches and markings and also to level out the surface.

6. Patching and second-time polishing

• Fill putty and get rid of air bubbles. Fix uneven parts with white cement. Mix water and color

pigments with the same ratio used for moulding. Leave to dry for 5 days before the second

polishing/surface conditioning.

• Start the second polishing with abrasive disc no. 240 and slippery rock. During this process,

polishing disc no. 400 or 600 and 5 Extra for granite polishing may also be used.

7. Coating

• After the polished surface is dry, clean the area thoroughly before waxing or applying coating

agent for beautiful and lasting terrazzo/finazzo.

• Coating the surface with coating agent will improve the color of the Terrazzo or Finazzo,

producing more vivid color, and prevent dirt or any other unwanted materials.

Terrazzo Maintenance

• Clean the area with alkaline agents such as soap water or detergent and water every week

• For residential works, wipe clean with water every day

• For public area use, clean regularly with floor scrubber

• Do not use cleaning agents with erosive properties such as bathroom or toilet cleaner

• Wax the floor once every year for the floor to remain shiny

• If there is any dirt on the surface after long-term use, abrasive scrubbing may be used to remove

the dirt

Suggestions

• Because fine aggregate terrazzo or finazzo only uses tiny cement mixture, finazzo is more suitable

with wall or moulding works such as bathtub, wash basin, wash counter, etc.

• Choosing large size pebbles or pebbles of different sizes can prevent shrinkage/contraction of the

terrazzo floor

TIGER White Multi-Purpose Cement

White cement with pure white texture that can be used for a variety of purposes.

TIGER Calcite Cement Aggregares for Decorative Flooring

This admixture is suitable for using together with “TIGER DECOR White Portland Cement for Terrazzo” to

create colorful decorations. The special properties of calcium carbonate (CaCo3), all-natural materials in

pure white with smooth texture can work together as a binding agent better than any other material such

as sand, with better efficiency. The color of the work will appear more vividly. Works best with fine

aggregate terrazzo (Finazzo), pre-fabricated elements, and white concrete and colored concrete.

3.3 Level the surface with a triangular bar

3.4 Use wooden trowel to even out the surface. Then use

polishing trowel to polish the wall until smooth (2-3 times)

3.5 Use brush soaked in water to lightly brush the wall until the

pebbles can be seen. Leave to dry for at least 1 day

4. Cleaning Masonry Surfaces with Muriatic Acid

4.1 Water the wall or dampen the area before starting the process.

4.2 Mix muriatic acid with water (1:1 ratio). Use the liquid mixture

to wash the masonry surfaces with some slight brushing.

Continue to wash with clean water until all of the acid is gone.

• Make sure that the masonry surfaces are well leveled to prevent

stains on the surface

• Start the cleaning process from the top to bottom

• For a large masonry surface, finish all plastering works before

beginning the cleaning process of the entire area with muriatic acid

• For floor, make sure there is no water on the masonry surface as

to prevent any stain after the work is completed

5. Dampening Masonry Surfaces

Dampen the wall surfaces every day for at least 3 days.

6. Coating Masonry Surfaces

Leave the wall / masonry surfaces to dry for at least 7 days. Spray

coating solution onto the surfaces 1-2 times (Coating can help

prevent moss and fungi infestation and make cleaning a lot easier).

Working Instructions

1. Preparing wall or floor surface

For wall

1.1 For brick wall

- Plaster the wall with cement until it is properly leveled.

- Roughing up the surface will increase adhesiveness

when applying white cement onto the wall.

1.2 For aerated concrete wall

- Plaster the wall with aerated concrete plastering cement.

The thickness should be approximately 0.5 cm. Leave the wall until well dried.

- Apply bonding agent. Leave to almost dry.

- Mix white cement with little water (High viscosity mixing).

Plaster the wall with the mixture (Not too thick).

1.3 For old plastered wall

- Scrub off the painted color

- Apply bonding agent to the wall. Leave to almost dry.

- Mix white cement with little water (High viscosity mixing).

Plaster the wall with the mixture (Not too thick).

1.4 For new plastered wall

- Rough up the wall to increase adhesiveness when applying white cement

onto the wall. Water should be sprinkled onto the wall prior to plastering.

This will help prevent unwanted water absorption.

For Floor

1.5 For new floor

- Level sand mixed concrete. Scrub the surface with coconut stalk broom

to increase adhesiveness. Leave to dry for at least 24 hours.

1.6 For old floor

- Rough up the old floor to increase adhesiveness with sand-mixed concrete.

Clean the area and apply bonding agent. Leave to dry a little (damped)

before pouring in the sand-mixed concrete for leveling. Sand-mixed concrete

used for leveling should be lower than the marking line approximately 1.5 cm.

Dampen the area with water for at least 1 night in order to prevent unwanted

absorption of the concrete surface.

2. Mixing

2.1 Mix “TIGER White Multi-Purpose Cement” or “TIGER DECOR White

Portland Cement for Terrazzo” with water until well blended. If color

pigments for cement is used, mix the color pigments with the concrete

mix before mixing it with water.

2.2 Mix TIGER Marble Render Cement Aggregares for Decorative Wall”

or “TIGER Marble Render Cement Aggregares” with the mixture until

well blended.

2.3 Add water to the mixture. Make sure that it is not too watery. Mix

until well blended.

3. Wall plastering and floor making

3.1 Water the wall or dampen the area to prevent water absorption from the cement.

3.2 For wall plastering, apply white cement that is already mixed with marble render

onto the wall with the thickness of approximately 0.8-1.0 cm. Leave to

almost dry. For floor making, the thickness should be approximately

1.0-1.5 cm.

daily wear and tear such as corridors outside the building, swimming pool area, multi-purpose area,

staircases, etc.

• Wall Decoration for both inside and outside areas that need a natural touch

• Moulding Works for a variety of works such as countertop, table, chair, seat, outdoor lamps, and

ready made textured walls, etc.

Maintenance

• Wipe surface with plain water to clean

• Do not use highly erosive agent for it might affect/erode the concrete

• Apply waxing or coating agents as required on a regular basis

Usage

• Leave the wall to dry; make sure that there is as

little humidity left as possible. Generally, the wall

should be left to dry for at least 2 weeks.

• Clean the wall thoroughly; make sure there is no

dust, dirt or anything on the smooth surface with

dry sponge, broom or sandpaper. Clean oily

surfaces, if any, with soap water, dishwashing

agent or shampoo. Leave the wall until well dry.

• Apply contact primer thoroughly; twice. Leave to

dry. This will help make sure that the Tiger Decor

color skim coat, once applied, is smoothed out

for the entire area. It also helps prevent water

seeping through the wall, reducing alkalinity and

increasing overall adhesiveness.

• Apply the first layer of the skim coat. Make sure

that the application is evened out; the thickness

should be approximately 2-3 mm.

• Leave traces of trowel as little as possible.

• Apply the second layer of the skim coat; the

thickness should be approximately1-2 mm. Polish

the application but not for too long because it

may result in black stains on the surface. Leave

the wall to dry to reduce humidity for 1-2 days.

• Apply 2 layers of coating agent. The second

coating should be done when the wall is still

moist; if the wall is too dry, the second layer of

coating will not permeate the wall and that may

lessen the overall quality of coating.

• Leave to dry.

Note: Check for properly done coating applica-

tion by pouring water onto the wall when the

coating agent is already dry. If the water

remains in droplets (Lotus Effect) that means

the coating is complete and properly done. (If,

however, the wall becomes wet immediately

after the water is splashed on the wall that

means the coating is not complete or properly done).

15 - 40 degrees Celsius.

• Leave to dry to reduce humidity inside the wall

for 1 - 2 days. Apply 2 layers of coating agent.

The second coating should be done when the

first coating is still moist. Otherwise, if the wall is

too dry, the second layer of coating will not

permeate the wall and that may lessen the overall

quality of coating.

• Leave to dry.

Suggestions

• Use all within 2 hours after mixing with water

• Do not add water to the mixture after setting time

• Do not mix with other materials such as sand

because it may cause out-of-proportion mixture

• All plastering tools must be cleaned with fresh

water before use

• After plastering is done, water the wall for 2-3

days
