clearing operations east of An Hoa in the Phu ~Thuans 'rhile providing one company for security of a portion of Liborty Road betweon An Roa and Phu Lac (6). The Battalion utilized TD-IS bulldozers and an Eimco tractor with a rome plow in clearing b~eolineEl, trenchlines and forti­fications. Contact 1;1i th the enemy \<las light throughout this period but numerous surprise firing devices were oncountered. (4) t:.llltr~'?.§..!. During the :period 1 to 19 lIarch 4th Platoon, Company A, 3rd Amtrac Battalion 'vas in direct support of the Battalion. The LYT's were used for transporting trooDs ano. resuPDly and '·Tere also utilized to retrograde excess equipment, increasing the mobility of the companies.

(5) ~~ The 2nd Platoon, CompanY B, 1st Tru~~ Battalion "Tas in direct support of the Be.ttalion during the period 1 to 18 Harch 1969. The tanlis ;'lero em:plo~red to escort resupply convoys and ';vere very effective in close support for rifle conpanies on the offensive.
