A joint study from The International Association of Exhibitions and Events, The Experience Institute and Professional Convention Management Association examines attendee actions â and the factors that go into the decision to attend in the first place. One surprising find of the âDecision to Attendâ study may reshape the way millennials are viewed within the world of conventions and exhibitions. The data found that millennials cell phone charging station view attendance at events as a crucial aspect of advancing in their careers, as well as for their personal development. This part of the study runs rather contrary to the widely held myth that this demographic does not place a high value on face-to-face interactions. As it turns out, the fact that this generation largely grew up with the internet in their homes has little effect on millennials' exhibition and convention attendance. One major factor with millennials is the finding that â more than any other age group â they are very likely to take advantage of the exhibition's destination to engage in vacation leisure activities. A full 85 percent of 'Generation Y' individuals indicated that they like to âget out and aboutâ in the destination city. With this new information, perhaps it's time to refocus efforts on universal device charging station attracting millennials to your exhibition booth. Just because they've grown up with Skype doesn't mean they've lost sight of the value of face-to-face interaction.
