Living the Paschal Mystery:

From the exalted heavenly host of angels to the

lowly shepherds “living in the fields”, a newness of

God’s Presence and glory are announced. This Good

News cannot be contained in highest heavens, but must

be made known to all creatures on earth. Although it is

Mystery ever so rich that God should be

clothed in human likeness, it is nonethe-

less a mystery that touches earthy shep-

herds and maiden, “people who walked in

darkness” and those who “have seen a

great light” (First Reading), a “people as

[God’s] own” and those “eager to do what

is good” (Second Reading), Angels and

shepherds; they trusted the Mystery we

celebrate. So must all of God’s creatures.

De la exaltada hueste celestial de los ángeles a los hu-

mildes pastores "que viven en los campos", se anuncia

una novedad de la Presencia y gloria de Dios. Esta Bue-

na Noticia no puede ser contenida en los cielos más al-

tos, sino que debe ser dada a conocer a todas las criatu-

ras en la tierra. Aunque es un misterio siempre

tan rico que Dios debe vestirse en semejanza

humana, es sin embargo un misterio que toca a

los pastores terrenales ya la doncella, "la gente

que caminaba en tinieblas" y los que "han vis-

to una gran luz" Un "pueblo como el propio de

Dios" y aquellos "ansiosos de hacer lo

bueno" (segunda lectura), ángeles y pastores;

Confiaron en el Misterio que celebramos. Así

deben todas las criaturas de Dios.

Knight of Columbus: The Queen of Angels Council extends our warm-

est wishes to you and hopes everyone has a joy-

ous, meaningful Christmas holiday. Travel safely, cherish

your friends and family, but, most importantly, remember

the reason for the season.

Did you know? Prepare holiday babysitters thoroughly. The holidays come

with lots of nights out for adults – office Christmas parties,

last-minute trips to the mall for gifts, neighborhood gift

exchanges, etc. – and you may need to call upon a babysit-

ter to watch your kids for adults-only events. Think through

the policies at your house that you will ask a sitter to fol-

low. These could include basic childcare rules (for exam-

ple: limits on television viewing, bedtime) as well as safety

rules (for example: don’t let the kids play with knives or

Baptismal Class The exciting and meaningful experience of

Baptism str engthens our families and par-

ish community with God. Whether baptized

as a baby or an adult, Parents and Godpar-

ents need to attend a Baptismal class before baptizing his or

her child. Baptismal classes are scheduled the last Tuesdays

of each month. The next scheduled baptismal class is: Tues-

day December 27, 2016 at 6:30p.m.

English Choir No English choir rehearsal this Wednesday, December 28, 2016.The next English Choir

rehearsal will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 7:00p.m. in the church.

Religious Education Break Schedule:

Christmas Break– Tuesday Classes won’t have classes on

December 20, 27, & Jan. 3.

Classes for Tuesday’s will resume on January 10, 2017.

A very Merry Christmas to you all! It is a

blessed moment as we celebrate the birth of

our Lord Jesus. The Word made flesh dwell-

ing with us, showing how God desires to be

with us. He is indeed the Emmanuel, the

God with us.

Let us open our hearts to the Lord so that He

may have a place in us, in our homes and in our communi-

ty. We thank the Lord for his great love for us, shown in

the manger, through the baby whom our Blessed Mother

Mary bore in her womb.

May the Lord be reborn in our hearts and lives so that we

may experience the grace of peace, hope and joy. May we

likewise experience the newness of this season as it brings

about the renewal of our faith and desire to serve the Lord

and his church.

I wish to take this solemn opportunity to thank you, my

dear brothers and sisters for your continued support to our

church of Queen of Angels. May God bless you with his

love and peace.

La Natividad del Señor: Navidad Diciembre 25, 2016

¿Sabia Usted? Prepare a las niñeras con mucho cuidado. La temporada

navideña viene con muchas salidas de noche para los adul-

tos, a fiestas de Navidad de la oficina, viajes de último

minuto al centro comercial para comprar regalos, intercam-

bios de regalos con los vecinos, etc., y usted quizá tenga que

llamar a una niñera para que cuide a sus hijos para ir a los

eventos sólo para adultos. Piense con cuidado las políticas

en su hogar que usted le va a pedir a la niñera que siga. Estas

pueden incluir reglas básicas de cuidado de niños (por ejem-

plo: límites para ver televisión, hora de ir a dormir) así como

reglas de seguridad (por ejemplo: no deje que los niños

Clases Bautismales La experiencia emocionante y significativa del Bau-

tismo fortalece nuestras familias y de la comunidad

parroquial con Dios. Ya sea bautizado cuando era

un bebé o un adulto, el Bautismo es el primer paso

en un viaje de por vida con Dios. Los padres y padrinos deben

asistir a una clase de bautismo antes de bautizar a su hijo o hi-

ja. Clases bautismales se han programado el último martes de

cada mes. La próxima clase bautismal programada el MAR-

TES: 27 Diciembre, a las 6:30pm en el salón parroquial

Educación Religiosa Horario:

Vacaciones de Navidad - Las clases de martes no tendrán

clases el 20, 27 y 3 de Enero.

Las clases para el martes se reanudarán el 10 de enero de

¡Feliz Navidad a todos! Es un momento bendito

cuando celebramos el nacimiento de nuestro Se-

ñor Jesús. El Verbo hecho carne viviendo con

nosotros, mostrando cómo Dios desea estar con

nosotros. Él es de hecho el Emmanuel, el Dios

con nosotros.

Abramos nuestros corazones al Señor para que Él

tenga un lugar en nosotros, en nuestros hogares y

en nuestra comunidad. Damos gracias al Señor por su gran amor

por nosotros, mostrado en el pesebre, a través del bebé que nuestra Beata Madre María llevó en su vientre.

Que el Señor renace en nuestros corazones y vidas para que po-

damos experimentar la gracia de la paz, la esperanza y la alegría.

Que también experimentemos la novedad de esta temporada, ya

que trae consigo la renovación de nuestra fe y el deseo de servir al

Señor ya su iglesia.

Deseo aprovechar esta solemne oportunidad para agradecerles,

queridos hermanos y hermanas, por su constante apoyo a nuestra

iglesia de la Reina de los Ángeles. Que Dios los bendiga con su

amor y paz.
