The Ouimet Parking Lot in the Vieux-Saint-Laurent sec- tor of Montréal is recognized by the Conseil régional de l’environnement de Montréal (CRÉ-Montréal) for being a sophiscated green innovaon. Since it’s construcon in 2014, the parking lot has undergone many “green” trans- formaons that include the planng of trees and plants, implemenng a bioretenon basin alongside the parking lot and the installaon of electric car charging staons! As the 2019 AquaHacking Challenge gears up to start, the organizaon is looking for new water issues to tackle. The 2019 theme and scope is the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Watershed.
