The Making Waves app strives to feel like a personal diary. The app’s loading page appears like a book which opens once the page has loaded and is ready to be filled with holiday memories.

Log in or simply register to begin using the logbook of your sailing holiday experience. A signing in process keeps your logbook private and personal.

Page 3: Making Waves App

The logbook page includes the date, weather and sea conditions which can be updated using your location on the iPad. Photo’s, the route travelled and the day’s comments are all kept on this single page.

Add the amount of days your holiday lasts using the add button. Each day includes a title, sample of a comment and date. So a specific day or logbook entry can be found quickly. Tapping the day you want to view opens up the logbook entry.

The logbook page and all the features such as maps, photos and comments can be used in both portait and landscape views.

Landscape mode also enables all content to be viewed on one screen, however this includes all of the logbook days so it is easy to flick through each day quickly and clearly. To visit the photo gallery, enlarge the map or any comments simply tap on which one you want to go to.

Adding new content is simple using the add button. Use the edit button to update existing information, click the icon and tap on what needs editing. Deleting content works in the same way through the delete button.

Follow your sailing progress using GPS route tracking with a fully interactive map, drop pins and document your locations to remember your sailing trip around the Western Isles.

Share your current location with friends, through social network sites using the share button Tapping on a dropped pin enables you to see what day just reached this point and is linked to the logbook entry.

Never forger a day, write comments and notes each day of your trip to make your holiday memorable. Add a title to reme-meber each day and begin a diary entry, the apple keyboard appears as soon as your tap to begin typing. Save the entry and it will appear on the logbook page.

Page 8: Making Waves App

Capture your trip by adding photo’s to your Logbook upload photo’s or take new ones. Photo’s remain organised to the date of which they were taken.

Adding Content is easy, simply click the add button to create a new album, take a new photo or upload an exsiting photo.

Fancy sharing some of your trip? Photos can easily by shared by email or again through connecting to social networks.
