BRAINFEED SCHOOL EXCELLENCE AWARD 2018

AIS46 Gurugram has been awarded with the Brainfeed School Excel-

MENTAL MATH QUIZ COMPETITION– VII

The school conducted an Inter Amity Mental Math Quiz Competition for grade VII on December 19,

2018. The competition started with the welcome address by the school Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra, in

which she motivated the students to embrace quizzing as a very creative way of learning and enhancing

their STEM base. The occasion was graced by Mr.Sunil Bajaj, renowned mathematician and acade-

mician. The quiz comprising of several rounds (Computation, Number Patterns, Rendezvous with Mathe-

matics, tables and Practical Application) dealt with topics like algebra, geometry, puzzles and logical rea-

soning. The four finalist teams were: AISG-46, AIS Noida, AIS Saket, AIS PushpVihar. The winner’s

trophy was lifted by AIS Noida. AIS Saket stood at second position followed by AIS PushpVihar. It was

an enriching event and a good learning experience for all the students. It boosted their morale and devel-

oped their mental ability skills.

SPIC MACAY – REVIVING INDIA’S HERITAGE & CULTURE

The need of the hour today is to sensitize our youth towards our

culture. This can only be done through the Society for Promotion

of Indian Classical Music Art and Culture Amidst Youth

(SPICMACAY), which organizes various programmes in educa-

tional institutions to bring the Indian youth closer to their roots.

With these thoughts in mind the school had an Indian Classical

Vocal Lec Dem presentation by renowned artists Pt. Ritesh

Mishra and Rajnish Mishra under the aegis of SPIC MACAY on

11th December 2018 in the school premises. The artists were ac-

corded a traditional welcome and the programme commenced

with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by school Principal

Mrs. Arti Chopra and guests. The Mishra Bandhu’ Ritesh and Rajnish Misra , are one of the leading up-

coming vocalists in the country today . They have received the prestigious “Sangeet Natak Akademi’s

Ustad Bismillah Khan Award” for the year 2008. They have recently been conferred with "Sangeet

Samriddhi Samman". They addressed the gathering and gave students an insight on classical vocal music

forms of India and their significance, they also made students sing along with them. After the performance

students had an interactive session with the artist where they asked questions about the Indian music. Mish-

ra Bandhu were accompanied by Shri Sumit Mishra on Harmonium and Shri. Abhishek Mishra on table.

CHITRANKAN—ART FIESTA

Chitrankan - An Inter School Art Fest was organised which aims to let students

imagine, create or experiment to reach out to beautiful spheres of art through

exciting competitions. 23 schools from Delhi and NCR participated in the

event. All the nine competitions were judged by eminent artists Ms. Rekha

Bajpae and Ms.Sangeeta Kumar Murthy. The overall Championship was won

by S N Sidheshwar School, Gurgaon.

SAMANVAY 2018-19—ALUMNI MEET

gether once again and relive their

days- was held on December 15,

2018 at the campus. The meet was

graced by our beloved Principal

Ms. Arti Chopra and the illustri-

ous teachers of the institution. A great bonhomie was observed everywhere with the old students reliving

their old memories with their batch mates, seniors, juniors and the current students who escorted them. On

this Red Letter Day they had all come here to grace the occasion and cherish their childhood memories. It

seemed as if all the benches, the bricks and walls, the classrooms and the play ground too were alive with

life. The enthusiasm was charged with smiles, chatters, photography and what not! It was indeed a thrill-

ing moment. The meet started with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony and the invoking of Goddess Saraswati

by our Hon’ble Principal ma’am, Ms. Arti Chopra. The program started with students’ experiences in AIS

46 and then proceeded to various games (Musical Chair) and talent show. Mr. and Miss Alumni 2018 was

won by Vedant and Ananya, respectively. Both felt ecstatic after winning the prestigious award. The Prin-

cipal welcomed the Alumni and appreciated their zeal. The celebration ended with the vote of thanks.

In December 2018, the school hosted its annual sports meet for junior school. Young Amitians beat the

cold and foggy weather with their unflagging enthusiasm. There were many fun races, where budding ath-

letes from classes I-V displayed their athletic skills in fun races like hoopla race, stringing the beds race,

collecting the domes, hurdle race, sack race, ball and bucket race and so on. Every class got one day for

their athletic competitions. Each student participated in three different races. Winners were felicitated

with medals and merit certificates by the Principal Ms. Arti Chopra.

SPARDHA 2018

OVERNIGHT OBSERVATION AT ASTROPORT, TEHLA RAJASTAN

The trip to Astroport for overnight observation at Tehla, Rajasthan was well organized. All the arrange-

ments were done by SPACE organization. The students were divided in 6 groups according to module 1

and 2. Students learnt to read planisphere. They Also practiced how to focus their telescope on celestial

objects, nebulae planets. They learnt how to locate & recognise constellation, stars or nebulae by using a

planisphere and to identify the nebulae of different constellations. They had observed and drawn figures of

nebulae. They also clicked pictures of astronomical objects and learnt astrophotography. Use of born door

trackers was also explained in the class. It was a well-planned event, students learnt astronomy, observed

celestial objects and enjoyed a lot.

PANCH BHAAV —CLASS IV PRESENTATION

The Class Presentation ‘’Panch Bhaav.…A Journey of Emotions’’ by grade IV was the amalgamation of vari-ous emotions of life. The presentation conceptualized, crafted and shaped by the Coordinator and teachers of class IV was an attempt to unbox the gift of emotions and get inspired to be a master rather than a captive of emotions. The presentation began with the lamp lighting followed by the Ganesh Vandana. Principal Ms. Arti Chopra addressed the gathering of parents and ac-quainted them with various accomplishments and new

initiatives of the school. Through the presentation students successfully presented the five different emotions through which human life deals on daily ba-sis. The five emotions taken from Natya Shastra were Raudra Ras, Hasya Ras, Veer Ras, Shant Ras and Sundar Ras. These emotions were depicted on the stage through the stories related to them from the history and mythology. Head mistress Ms. Sonia Nagpal ex-tended the vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in making the event a suc-cess. Parents were mesmerized to see the outstanding performance of their kids.

Four students from Amity International School 46, Guruji namely Surhabhi,

Abhimanyu, Kushagra and Avishi pursuing science in standard XI attended

the 5 days Inspire Camp. Students got the opportunity to interact with emi-

nent scientists and academicians Various hands on training sessions in vari-

ous science laboratories were the key factors.

KILOL—A KINESTHETIC DISPLAY

"On the 8th December, 2018, Amity International School, Gurga-

on organised Kilol -A Kinesthetic Display in the school premises

which was witnessed by the parents of students studying in clas-

ses I and II. The event was the brainchild of respected Principal

Ma’am, Ms. Arti Chopra, where the school showcased diverse physical activities learned

and enjoyed by the students. It highlighted the importance of games and other physical ex-

ercise in the early years of childhood. The rich infrastructure of the school helped students

perform various sports such as PEC, Basics of Basketball, Basics of Football, Taekwondo,

and skating. There were enthralling performances by young amitians and the entire school

campus was transformed in happy fitness regime. The skating rink, the play ground, basket

ball court, taekwondo hall all came alive with young sport stars. The huge gathering of par-

ents encouraged students and applauded the spectacle that showcased their higher fitness

levels and cheerful mood. The school principal, Ms. Arti Chopra congratulated the students

for their impeccable per-

The school had organized a fun filled picnic to Lohagarh Farms on 6th December, 2018. Students had a

great time in the camp with their teachers and classmates. They enjoyed the rides and many fun filled ac-

tivities at the picnic venue. Students relished the food served at the venue. Total 312 students went for the

picnic.

EXCURSION TO ECO ADVENTURE CAMP—GRADE X

The students of grade X had a spellbound experience in their trip to Eco Ad-

venture Camp on 17th, December 2018. 237 students and class teachers of

class X went for the excursion. They had an amazing experience that rejuve-

nated them from their melancholic routine. It had a natural atmosphere with

many activities like dancing on beats, fun outdoor activities, the mouth-

watering and delicious food which is still missed. It was indeed a very refresh-

ing experience for all the students of class X to have a gala time which was a

fruitful experience to enhance their bond. All the students really enjoyed the

trip and had a lifetime experience.

EXCURSION TO AEROPLANET—GRADE I & II

The students of Classes I & II, enjoyed a fun filled picnic to

Aeroplanet, Dwarka on 13th December & 14th December, 2018.

Students had a great time in the camp with their teachers and

classmates. They enjoyed the rides and many fun filled activi-

ties. Students relished the food served at the venue.

ADVENTURE CAMP

Adventure camp was conducted for classes I to VIII along with

Rockport to enhance all four dimensions of Emotional Intelli-

gence of a child i.e. self motivation, empathy, social skill and self

management. During the adventure camp students enjoyed dif-

ferent activities like Flying Fox, Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Tug of War, Three Tyre Hurdle, Wall Climbing, Hamster Wheel, Laser Beam, Tent Pitching, Hop Scotch, Commando Crawl, Dou-

ble Rope Bridge etc.

WINTER RENDEZVOUS 2018-19 : A FUN FILLED CARNIVAL

The school had organized Winter Rendezvous –A Carnival full of joy, excitement and fun for the students on 15th De-cember ,2018 Saturday. It was inaugurated by the Principal Ms. Arti Chopra in the morning. The main attractions of the Carnival were the joy rides and the food stalls. Teachers and students of grade I to V had put up the craft stall where the beautiful handmade craft items made by students were dis-played. Students of grade VI to IX had put up the fun filled games stalls. Discotheque was another major attraction of the carnival where students enjoyed a lot. A blood donation camp was also organized in association with Rotary club for a noble cause. In the evening at 4:30 p.m. raffle draw win-ner’s names were announced and exciting prizes were given to the winners. The carnival was a great success where par-ents and students participated in large number.
