PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Without a doubt our most important thing to discuss this month is our Rock - Sue Read (centre manager). Sue unfortunately had a stroke prior to our AGM. It has been a learning curve for a lot of us taking over the vast duties she consistently performed. She is definitely missed and undergoing therapy on her road to recovery. The process to set up a go fund me page is on the way to help her and her family with ongoing bills. If you weren’t aware, Tom her husband took ill a short time prior. If you can give anything, contact the centre for the go fund me account info to make it a better Christmas for their family.

Speaking of Christmas our giving tree is up with three de-serving families, lets help make it a special year for them. Our kids Xmas party is on Dec 10. Samaritans purse shoe boxes are available at the centre as well.

Thank you to Peter Demong for the cheque of $1290 from his annual BBQ. Peter, with the help of sponsors, covers the cost of memberships for his ward 14 communities at the BBQ. I believe we were once again the top selling commu-nity for memberships at the function.

I would like to thank Stuart Olsen for the donation of 10 new hoses for our rink flooding. We are also looking for sponsors to help offset our water costs for putting in the skate rink. We are willing to put sponsors name on puck board on our boards, mentioned in newsletter and on web-site/social media. Tax deductible receipt also can be issued.
