Brian Brannigan for Clubhouse “My wife, Rissa Sanchez, and I have lived in Innis Arden since 2003. We love the quality of life that is supported by our covenants that protect our views, prevents over- building and preserves common properties such as the clubhouse and the reserves. I have enjoyed volunteering my time with the Innis Arden Activities Committee over the years in various roles including: the Neighborhood Night Out event, sorting items for the annual Rummage Sale, chairing the Salmon BBQ for two years and serving as the Board Representative for the Activities Committee for six one-year terms between 2008 and 2015. If you vote for me for a Board role, I will continue the good work that Kathi Peterson has done with the Innis Arden Clubhouse so that it serves as the center for community celebrations.” Jim McCulloch for Grounds "I've enjoyed being a Board member this last year, and would like to continue for a full term. My main goals will be to complete items I started this last year, including the up- grades to the grounds' irrigation system and the play structures. I will continue to sup- port the current Covenants, the homeowners in our community, and strive to improved communications and transparency between the Board and homeowners. Board Meeting Minutes November 12, 2017 The meeting was called to order at 7:04 PM by Presi-dent Easton Craft. Board members present: Easton Craft, Maggie Taber, B.J. Oneal, Kathi Peterson, Jim McCulloch, and Steven Johnston. Members absent: Cindy Esselman and Dave Fosmire Meetings minutes from the November board meeting were approved. PRESIDENT, Easton Craft Carlson Carlson Lawsuit Update: The Court has still not ruled on the Carlson motion to amend the complaint, which was to be considered by the Court on November 16, 2017. Accordingly, our counsel contacted the Court on December 11th to inquire about the status of the motion. The Court con-firmed that it has all the motions papers, but that no Order on the motion has been entered. We anticipate that we will be a getting an Order granting the motion to amend the complaint (since it was unopposed) lat-er in December. Following the Court’s Order, Carlson will likely need to file the amended Complaint to make it official and then the Club will have 20 days to provide its answer to the Complaint. IA Website Update Still no change in the plan for a 1Q 2018 rollout of the new site. Storm Creek Erosion The Club has engaged a geotechnical engineer to do an assessment of the Storm Creek outflow. While the neighbors have agreed to pay the costs associated with this work, we anticipate a full reimbursement by the city of shoreline. VICE PRESIDENT/COMPLIANCE, BJ Oneal in place of Dave Fosmire NOTE: All Compliance hearings are held at the Innis Arden Clubhouse at 7:00PM unless noted otherwise. A motion was made (and seconded) for a compliance hearing for the properties at 17249 15th Avenue NW and 17259 15th Avenue NW. The motion passed unanimously. This hearing will be held on Tuesday 01/09/18 at 6PM.

BUILDING AND REMODEL, Cindy Esselman – presented by Jim McCulloch Jim described the Ballo Remodel at 18623 17th Ave NW. There were no issues brought forth and the board unanimously approved the remodel. TREASURER, Jeff Gough - The Club Operating Checking balance is $27,304, the Collections Savings balance is $274,605, and the Asset Reserve Savings balance is $150,375. CLUBHOUSE, Kathi Peterson – The Clubhouse was kept busy through November by non-profits, business meetings, holiday parties and exercise classes. Income was $2,175 with refunds at $575. Renters have been wonderful, taking good care of the Clubhouse and notifying us with any is-sues that pop up. In late November during some heavy rains, the Club-house ceiling began to leak again. The roofer came and caulked around the roof vent again and the leak-ing has stopped. However, a portion of a wet piece of ceiling tile fell to the floor. Laura Taylor took it to a local asbestos lab for testing and fortunately the tests showed the ceiling tiles contain no asbestos. I'm cur-rently pricing out what it would cost to do some minor tile repairs or completely re-tile the Clubhouse ceil-ing. I'll bring the figures to the January Board meet-ing for discussion. Please remember that the Clubhouse will not be

Thanks to Meghan Mannes and Kathryne Shrews-bury for their help and support in planning the play-ground improvements. NATURAL RESERVES, Steve Johnston Trail Maintenance Trail work will occur in Blue Heron in December to re-move roots and other tripping hazards, and to improve the trail in a few areas where it is steeply pitched or very narrow. Grouse, Running Water, Blue Heron and Eagle. An additional 250 bare root trees and shrubs will be procured and planted in late January, early Febru-ary. Hazardous Tree Removal Six hazardous fir trees and two alders were re-moved from Blue Heron North of 14th Ave NW in December. All trees had been previously topped multiple times, were in very poor shape, and were inspected and approved for removal by the City. Storm Creek Erosion After two tries and a lot of work by the City attorney, the Club attorney, and several Board members, the Club, City, and Storm Creek Neighbors have collab-orated to contract a Geotechnical Consultant (Bill Laprade, of Shannon and Wilson) to conduct a site visit, and to then recommend potential near term and long term approaches to managing the severe erosion at the mouth of Storm Creek. The hope is that the site visit will occur in December, with obser-vations, recommendations and a meeting with the City to follow in January.

ACTIVITIES, Maggie Taber - Save the dates: 2018 Rummage Sale - Saturday, March 10 & Sunday March 11, 2018 The Activities Committee held a brief meeting on Mon-day, Dec. 4th, prior to the clubhouse decorating party. Officers for 2017 are as follows: President – Randi Fattizzi Secretary (shared) – Belinda Leung and Ann Garnsey-Harter Treasurer – Rebecca Wagoner Representative to the Board – Maggie Taber Following the meeting, a merry group transformed the clubhouse into a festive holiday scene. The Annual Holiday Party was Sunday, December 10th from 4 to 7pm. Many thanks to Kelly and Julie Sanders for Co-Chairing the event. There will be a full write up in the bulletin. The 2018 Rummage Sale is set for March 10th & 11th, 2018. We will again be utilizing a sign up system for volunteers. Collections have begun. The next in-take day is Saturday, Dec. 16th from 2-4 pm. Any do-nation questions please contact Maggie Taber. Upcoming Rummage collection dates: Saturday 12/16 2-4pm, Monday 1/8 10-noon, Saturday 1/20 2-4pm. The next Activities Meeting will be Monday, January 8th at 7pm. Other Pertinent Issue: The Annual Meeting (where voting of new officers and the 2018 budget occur) is scheduled for Wednesday 01/17/18 at 7PM at the Clubhouse. It is imperative that we have a quorum to be able to hold the annual meeting, vote for officers/budget, and carry out other important business so PLEASE vote (by email, ballot, proxy, or in person)! Last year we did not get a quorum so had to re-do the meeting and it was definitely less than ideal. Please do your part and vote. Instructions on ways to vote will be forthcoming and you should be receiving your ballots soon. BJ Oneal, Secretary

Website Redesign Project Update I’m currently working with a subset of the Innis Arden board members on updating our website. The main goals of this project are: 1. To make it easier for people to find information 2. To make it easier for everyone to understand our

covenant & the processes 3. To update the look-and-feel of the website To achieve these goals, we will need your help and feedback. Please look out for a survey in your email in Jan. Holiday Party The Nutcracker came to the club house along with Santa and 150 Innis Arden neighbors, to attend the annual Holiday Party. It was great to see so many new faces and welcome back those that have made it an annual tradition. A big shout out to all of the volunteers who helped decorate, and make the evening memorable. A spe-cial thank you to Mary Ruhlman who put together a festive photo booth with props, mirror and our very own hashtag - we can use it year after year. And Sayuri Gould orchestrated a wonderful children’s per-formance, that warmed the hearts of all. We'd also like to express our sincere gratitude to Sue Cox, who has provided generous support to this party year after year, and in a multitude of ways to the Innis Arden community. What a perfect way to launch the season. Activities Committee
