Thanksgiving Potluck Luncheon

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with some great food, special singing from our Choir, and good fellowship. A few students decorated some tables with beautiful and creative decorations. Thank you to everyone who contributed in making this a special event. We’re looking forward to our Christmas Party next week!

School of Art Director’s Note:

© 2016 MASTERS SCHOOL OF ART, All Rights Reserved

After battling cancer for a few years, it is good to be back at MSOA. The year thus far has gone way too fast. I’ve enjoyed getting to know your children. Being around them brings much life and joy!

I’m grateful for good instructors who genuinely care about your kids. The teachers put a lot of thought and time into their classes. Usually it isn’t until the spring term when we see the kid’s best work, but already they are doing awesome. I can’t imagine what they will do next term!

I can tell your children are enjoying school by all the laughter I hear and new friendships I see developing. We not only want them to enjoy being there, but to also love art.

At lunch, I’ve been doing most of the lunchtime chats. I’ve focused on love as illustrated in I Corinthians 13. Love is not just the gifts, knowledge and faith to move mountains, but the world will know we are believers in Jesus when we love one another. Love is patient which is practiced at home and in friendships love is kind, or not mean. It does not bully. Love does not take into account a wrong suffered, or does it X someone out of our life when they offend us. Love covers sins rather than throwing others under the bus. Love believes all things, or believes the best in others. Well, that is sort of an outline to what we’ve been talking about. We hope these chats are lived out in our lives as the world could use a little more love.

What makes our school successful is your willingness to volunteer. It is such an encourage-ment to me and to the staff to have you work alongside of us in selling the calendars, helping with the Bazaar, and just helping us at school. It is impossible to do it all alone. We still need volunteers for our Christmas celebration and the upcoming exhibit/revue. We really like everyone to volunteer, and not have to beg or make it mandatory to help out. Anything you can do helps such as bringing refreshments, setting up and prepping the artwork for the exhibit, and clean up. Just sign up in the office for volunteer hours. Thank you for working with us to make MSOA a successful experience/school for your kids.

It’s cold, it’s December, and it’s just about Christmas! This is such a fun time of the year and a good way to end 2016. It is fun to celebrate with the kids on the last school day of December. So for this month, have a merry and a blessed Christmas to all our MSOA families and friends. Also have a blessed 2017 new year, and may there be peace on earth.

With love to all of you, Evie Fishkin

Luke 2:11-14

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this

shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a

manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God,

and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
