DAL 1961 UNA GRANDE STORIA ITALIANA

ICR, Industria Chimica Reggiana, nasce nel 1961 a Reggio Emilia, comeproduttore di stucchi per carrozzeria e mastici per marmo. Sulle ali dellapassione dei suoi fondatori e del vivace sviluppo economico del periodocresce e conquista posizioni significative in molteplici settori, tra cui caratterepredominante assume il car refinish, mercato in cui l’azienda investe risorse siatecnologiche che umane.Nell’arco di un ventennio ICR si impone con il suo brand di riferimento, Sprint,ben caratterizzato dalle strisce verticali. A GREAT ITALIAN STORY SINCE 1961ICR, Industria Chimica Reggiana, was established in 1961 in Reggio Emiliaand started business as a producer of stopper for car bodywork and adhesivefor marble. Encouraged by the enthusiasm of its founders and the economicboom of that time, it quickly grew and acquired an enviable standing in manydifferent sectors. But the core-business was always car refinish, a market inwhich the company invested both technological and human resources.Within a couple of decades, ICR had become firmly established on the marketwith its Sprint brand, with its easily recognizable vertical stripes.The reasons for this success lie in the corporate philosophy, based on threeprecise directives, pursued with determination and with deeply rootedconfidence in the company’s innate abilities: quality, knowledge of the market,international development.

Il settore Ricerca e Sviluppo raccoglie le informazioni provenienti dal mercato,attraverso i propri responsabili commerciali e grazie alla sua profondaconoscenza fornisce risposte non solo qualitativamente ineccepibili, masoprattutto rispondenti da un lato alle esigenze di flessibilità, di rapidità, difacilità che il mercato richiede e dall’altro perfettamente coordinate con ilsettore della produzione.Questa sinergia fa i vari settori è di fatto uno dei fattori vincenti della politicastrategica di ICR. SVILUPPO INTERNAZIONALE

Fortemente radicata nel territorio, ICR dispone di tre unità produttive, che siestendono su un’area coperta di circa 14.000 mq: la prima a Reggio Emilia(produzione di poliestere, fondi e trasparenti), la seconda a Cavriago, sempre inprovincia di Reggio Emilia (produzione di pasta lavamani e lubrificanti pergommisti), la terza a Perugia (produzione di vernici industriali). Ma, consciadell’enorme progresso dell’economia globale, ha da tempo provveduto a varareuna politica ambiziosa di espansione anche tramite proprie filiali. Ne è unesempio ICR Iberica, società con sede nelle vicinanze di Barcellona, a cui èaffidato il mercato spagnolo e portoghese, oltre a quelli del Centro e SudAmerica. Progetti importanti sono stati avviati sia in Europa, sia nel Far East: Cinae India. Anche le due aree storiche Medio Oriente e Africa garantisconocostanti commesse e sono ancora in forte crescita.ICR infine sta costruendo una nuova sede, più rispondente alle nuove necessitàproduttive, nelle immediate vicinanze di Reggio Emilia.

INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Strongly rooted in the land of its origins, ICR has three factories that cover an areaamounting to some 14,000 sqm. The first plant is situated in Reggio Emilia(production of polyester, undercoats and clear coats), the second in Cavriago, stillin the province of Reggio Emilia (production of hand cleaner pastes andlubricants for tyre-repair shops) and the third is in Perugia (production of industrialcoatings).Well aware of the enormous progress sustained by the global economy, ICR haslong-since embarked upon an ambitious expansion policy which has also beenachieved through its branches.
