Each month, Palo Alto Commons selects an Employee of the Month, and this month’s recipient is the Avant Unit Coordinator, Vianey U. She has been working at Palo Alto Commons for 17 1/2 years, first in Assisted Living and Meadow Wing until moving to the Avant this year. “I was not expecting it, but I am honored with this recognition,” Vianey says. Born in San Miguel Allende, Mexico, she has been living in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Vianey enjoys reading, watching movies, going out with friends, and outdoor activities, such as walking, biking, and camping. She is also happy that, in addition to her husband and daughter, her siblings all live in the area as well. “PAC is a great company with the best team of coworkers,” she adds. “I love most to help residents with all their needs.” Charito Amoranto, Vianey’s supervisor, describes her as “smart, caring, and always trying hard to provide the best care and customer service to our residents and families. She is such a wonderful role model for all staff!” Congratulations to Debbie N. (below, far left photo) for winning the Resident Halloween Costume Contest in October. Her “Debbie, the Good Witch” costume garnered the most votes, and she won a $100 VISA gift card! Congrats also to staff winner Esmeralda A. for her scary costume and little Incredible Hulk sidekick (below, second photo). Per tradition, the management team dressed in theme (this year’s theme: movie monsters/villains) and performed for residents (below, right photos).
