Strategic Plan Update Language Arts Teachers Attend Reading amp Writing Workshop

Our Language Arts teachers attended a conference this week led by Jen Ceravallo a nationally recognized speaker on reading forUnits of Study Our teachers gained additional skil ls to further implement the best strategies to support student learning throughUnits of Study The staff attended this training after a half day professional development session this past Saturday with Mrs KoriMcKibben Both experiences help to reinforce a strong roll-out of the Units of Study approach at each grade level as well as how to useprogress monitoring with Fastbridge Assessment to ensure growth in students Teachers felt that they now have more effective tools touse in their classrooms thanks to this training and workshop Additional classroom library sets are being ordered to add to the manydonated books We are thankful that we surpassed our Marathon goal and are able to add more l ibrary sets to our classrooms thanksto the ongoing support of you our families and the greater community Thank you Watch for more updates on our strategic planinitiatives while your student grows academically
