Titus 3:7 That being justi-

fied by his grace, we should

be made heirs according to

the hope of eternal life.

The concept of “eternal

life”, or never dying, has

 been around forever. Many

 people have searched for

the “fountain of youth” and

never found it. Women

today try to find that spe-

cial cream that will keep

them looking younger.

I have news for you neigh-

bor. We all have eternallife. We all will live some

where forever. GOD creat-

ed man to live forever, and

,we will.

WHERE we live forever is

our free choice.

Do nothing and you will

spend eternity with the

Devil and his demons.

Accept the finished work of

Jesus who died on the cross

for your sin, and, you canlive with Jesus and other

saved folks.

Look at this verse close.

First, we see grace, then

heirs,and, then hope.

PRAISE GOD!!!

Will you Preachers take

this and run with it??

God Bless;

Walter D. Hill D. Min.

Joke Of

The Day

A pastor wasaddressing the chil-

dren during the

Christmas service.

"Who is the mother

of Jesus?" he asked

them. Without hesi-

tation, dozens of

tiny voices chorused

back "Mary." "That'sright. Now who can

tell me who is the

father of Jesus?"

There was quiet and

fidgeting. After all,

no one told them

there was going to

be a quiz. Then ayoung girl spoke up.

With assurance, she

 boldly announced: "I

know. It's Virg."

"You know," she

said, "Virg and

Mary."

Happy

Holidays!

West Ga. Back Pain Center2170 West Point Rd. • 706-616-6775

Well I finally committed to becoming a full vegetarian (I had

eaten chicken and fish previously), and I will tell you why. I was

reading a book by John Robbins (of Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream),

and he renounced his fortune because he “didn't wish to poison

little children”. Knowing that ice cream is made from what I

affectionately call “Cow Pus”(milk and cream). Those things clog

the colon and cause allergies, sinusitis, and upper respiratory con-

ditions.Back to the point of being vegetarian - right before an animal

dies they release pheromones and this alerts the next animal in

line that death is approaching. And this is where it gets interest-

ing. When you're afraid you and the animals release stress hor-

mones such as adrenalin, cortisol, and inflammatory exudates,

and these get absorbed in the meat. And then we eat the “meat”!

This tears down your body and causes unwarranted worry and

dreadful anxiety!

So “You can’t have any pudding . . if you don't eat your

meat!”(Excerpt from Pink Floyd “The Wall”.) Great, don’t eat

either, and live longer and happier lives. After all, isn't that the

 point?

Watching Your Back,

Dr Grego

Working as a 911 dispatcher

can be rather interesting. One

of the first calls I took was a

murder. I thought, "Oh my is

serious business". I composed

myself enough to ask him whathappened. “My wife is the mur-

derer.” I asked again, “Who did

she kill?” He did something

strange and said, “Let my son

tell you”, and handed the phone

to an eight year old boy. Odd,

very odd. I asked again what

happened? He told me that for

some reason his mom just went

in his room and opened thehamster cage and threw them

on the floor and stomped them.

“She just murdered them.” I

said in disbelief, “This is the

murder you are reporting?” He

said, “Yes, what are you going

to do about it?” I asked him to

put his dad back on the phone. I

asked him where he lived. He

told me a road I had never heard of. I ask what county he

lived in and he told me Heard

Co. I quickly transferred him to

Heard Co. Later I called them

and ask what happened to the

call. They sent a deputy out and

it was a domestic between hus-

band and wife, which I had

already figured out.

We get calls all the time from

people that have no clue how

911 works. In Troup Co. there

is a 911 fee that is on all phone

bills. It has nothing to do with

us. We have people calling to

tell us to take the fee off. They

don’t use 911. They think the

money comes straight to us and

we use it for our benefit.

We also have people calling

911 from the neighbor‘shouse. The reason being, they

don’t want that change on their

phone. It’s okay to be on the

neighbor’s phone. With friends

like that you sure don’t need

enemies.

I took a call once where a

woman’s daughter had fallen

off a horse. She was so excited

I almost couldn’t understand

what she was saying. Finallyshe said she needed an ambu-

lance. I ask her to tell me how

bad her daughter was hurt. She

told me” Oh, she’s not hurt at

all but the horse has a broken

leg.

We have five radios in the dis-

patch room. The slowest is the

city fire radio. When they have

a call it is a big one but most of

the time you are answering the

phone. On one long, long day Ihad not had a call. I was really

 bored. Than about half way

though the shift I got a call. I

guess I was so excited I

grabbed the road guide too fast.

We have several books on the

console. When I grabbed the

book some way I hit the report

book, which is a very large

book. It caused a chain reac-

tion. I went ahead and opened

my road guide. About that time

the report book caused another  book to fall. They both fall on

top of my head almost knock-

ing me out. I was trying to

catch the books. Some of the

books fell on my mouse and

keyed my microphone up. I

don’t know what radio land

heard, but at 911 it sounded

like a murder. I had already

sent my alert tones out. I dis-

patched the call but don’t have

a clue what I said. I am semi-

conscious by this time. I did

hear my supervisor, Melissa,

say, “Somebody check onEmmie, I think she fell out of

her chair.” I try to tell them I

am okay. I just knocked all the

books on the floor. Later on I

got a lot of teasing from my co-

workers along with the firemen.

I can tell you this much I can’t

honestly say nothing ever hap-

pens on the city fire radio.

I saw a truck of Christmas

trees And each one had a

tale,

The driver stood them in a

row And put them up for

sale.

He strung some twinkly

lights And hung a sign up

with a nail;

"FRESH CHRISTMAS

TREES" It said in red

"FRESH CHRISTMAS

TREES FOR SALE."

He poured himself hot

cocoa In a steaming ther-

mos cup,

And snowflakes started

falling As a family car

 pulled up.

A mom, a dad, and one

small boy Who looked no

more than three

Jumped out and started

searching For the perfect

Christmas tree.

The boy marched up and

down the rows, His nose

high in the air;

"It smells like Christmas,

mom! It smells like

Christmas everywhere!"

"Let's get the biggest tree

we can! A tree that's ten

miles high!

A tree to go right through

our roof! A tree to touch the

sky!"

"A tree SO big "That Santa

Claus Will stop and stare

and say,

'Now, THAT'S the finest

Christmas tree I've seen thisChristmas Day!'"

It seemed they looked at

every tree At least three

million times;

Dad shook them, pinched

them, turned them 'round To

find the perfect pine.

Continued From Pg. 15

"I've found it, mom! The

Christmas tree I like the best of

all!

It's got a little bare spot, But

we'll turn that to the wall!"

"We'll put great-grandma'sangel On top the highest

 bough!

Oh, can we buy it? Please,

mom, PLEASE?! Oh, can we

 buy it NOW?"

"How 'bout some nice hot

cocoa?"Asked the man who

owned the lot.

He twisted off the thermos top,

"Now, THIS will hit the spot!"

He poured the steaming choco-late In three tiny paper cups.

They toasted, "Here's to

Christmas!" And they drank the

cocoa up.

"Is this your choice?" The tree

man asked, "This pine's the

 best one here!"

The boy seemed sad--- "My

daddy says "The price is just

too dear."

"Then, Merry Christmas!" Saidthe man, who wrapped the tree

in twine,

"It's yours for just one promise.

You must keep at Christmas

time!"

"On Christmas Eve at bedtime

As you fold your hands to pray,

Promise in your heart To keep

the joy of Christmas Day!"

"Now hurry home! This freezy

wind Is turning your cheeks pink!

And ask your dad To trim that

trunk and give that tree a

drink!"

And so it went on All that blus-

tery eve

As the tree man gave Tree upon

tree upon tree

To every last person Who came

to the lot-

Who toasted with cocoa In

small paper cups,

Who promised the promise Of

 joy in their hearts---

And singing out carols, Drove

off in the dark.

And when it was over One tree

stood alone;

But no one was left there To

give it a home.

The tree man put on his Red

 parka and hood

And dragged the last Christmas

tree Out to the woods.

He left the pine right by a

stream In the cold,

So the wood's homeless crea-

tures Could make it their home.

He smiled as he brushed off

Some snow from his beard,

When out of the thicket A rein-

deer appeared.

He scratched that huge reindeer

On top his huge head---

"It looks like we've Started up

Christmas again!"

"There are miles more to travel,

And much more to do!

Let's go home, my friend, And

get started anew

He looked to the sky And heard

a jingle bells sound---

And then, In a twinkling, Thattree man wasn't around!
