The Outlook

Glenn’s Thoughts As I look into our future here I see God blessing us during this Christmas Season. We have so much to be thankful for and praise Him for as we wrap up another year. May you take time to thank Him for every one of the blessings He has given you. I want to take this time as I do every year to thank you for the opportunity to serve along with you here at First Christian. My family is so blessed to be a part of a loving and caring congregation. We are so glad God led our paths together. May this be your best Christ-mas ever. As we went into Faith Promise I was pray-ing to God about our economy, our church, and the local job situation. I will have to admit I was a little bit nervous. Last year our goal was $50,000 and we pledged around $61,000. We are on course to meet our 2011 pledge by the end of this year. In 2012 we raised our goal to $53,000 trusting God to bless. As of November 21st our pledge has come to $55,392. Praise God that in these hard economic times God’s peo-ple still trust in His providence and provision. Thank you for making this a great Faith Promise. There is so much happening in December so be sure to read the calendar. Our teens, children, YAH, and adults are busy. Please keep in mind we are not having a Christmas Eve Service because of the 24th being on Saturday. If you know anyone in our body who could use a blessing in song on the 21st, please see Glenn. We will do our best to reach them that night of Caroling. Caroling is open to anyone. We will leave at 6pm and return at 8pm. Earl will have a Christmas Lesson for those who wish to attend Bible Study that night. Merry Christmas and may God’s Son give you hope this Christmas Season.

Love in Christ, Glenn

________________ With love in our hearts and

much gratitude for the

ones that made the Mis-

sion Blitz such a success.

Hoover and myself were so

overwhelmed to have you

at our home taking care of

so many kind deeds, plus

the needs. The Ladies and

Gentlemen, the caring

teens that took a Saturday

morning to help us. The

time was given in such a

meaningful way. The

prayers before you left by

Hoover’s bedside have

blessed us. We won’t ever

forget you. Christ our Lord

and Savior was upon us

that day. Everyday when

we both are really feeling

tired, you are there uplift-

ing us in your prayers.

peter’s point of view

Well another year is almost under our belt. Time just contin-ues to pass us by as we watch our children grow. As the year

closes we have a lot ahead of us. I want to just say in advance a big thank you to Scott Tedder, Betsy Yohn and all those who

have worked behind the scenes helping with music, sound, lights or set building, thanks for all your hard work with the children’s programs. Also a big thank you to all the parents for your sacri-

fices and efforts to get the kids here to learn songs, hand bell parts and speaking parts. Finally last but not least a thank you to

the kids who have worked hard, some listening to and singing Christmas music since June. Great job kids!!!! With that being

said, you are not going to want to miss out on your part in the children's programs..., playing the audience. I hope your calen-

dars are marked for a blessing! Also kids don’t forget our needy family that we are helping this Christmas. Please see Amy or

myself for more information and a list of the needed items. I hope you all have a great Christmas season!!! God Bless and

Merry Christmas.
