Dear Pastor, Youth Worker:

What a great year 2018 was for Fine Arts! I am thankful for each one of you who lead our students. Without you there is no Fine Arts. It takes each of us encouraging our students to discover, develop, and deploy their gifts in ministry to see not just a festival grow, but God’s Kingdom! This year I am expecting even greater things as we continue to see more churches and individuals participate. I know the effort and sacrifice it takes to coach and lead students, but it is SO worth it!

Enclosed you will find information, promotion and registration materials for Fine Arts 2019.

Date: Friday, March 22nd – Saturday, March 23rd Location: Boise Bible College (8695 W Marigold St, Boise ID 83714) Guest Band: The New Divide Costs: $45 for presenting student – UNLIMITED ENTRIES + free t-shirt!!

Non-presenting students/adults are FREE

All registrations must be completed online @ www.siyouth.org no later than Sunday, March 3rd. Students will register directly online and leaders will be notified via email. We will still lean heavily on you as leaders to help with your student’s registrations. You may need to sit down with your students and a computer to walk them through the registration process.

All participants and leaders must read and be familiar with the Official Rules and Guidelines. Rule books can be downloaded at www.youth.ag.org/Participate/Fine-Arts/Rules-and-Criteria. Each year there are a few rule changes and this year is no different. Every division has one or two categories that has had new changes. Also, there are select Junior categories that have been added. For details, please see page 9 in the official rule book. All forms, graphics and resources are available at www.siyouth.org as well.

Fine Arts is an incredible experience and opportunity for students to grow in their God-given gifts! Share the vision with your students and encourage them to participate. If you have any students who are unsure or uninterested, we would love to have them volunteer for the weekend so they can get a 1st hand look at what Fine Arts is and how God is using their peers in ministry! They may just realize “I can do this too” and become participants next year!

LEADERS CHECKLIST

Fees and Deadline: Registration fee is $45.00 per person for UNLIMITED categories and students receive a FREE t-shirt! Registrations must be completed online by March 3rd. No entries will be accepted after this date.

Rule Books: can be downloaded at: www.youth.ag.org/Participate/Fine-Arts/Rules-and-Criteria If you would like a paperback copy of the rule book, please contact Debbie Eason at [email protected].

Important Rule Updates: The following categories have had changes: Art Division, American Sign Language, Children’s Lesson, Promo Video, Short Film, Short Sermon, Dramatized Quoting, Percussion, Vocal, Worship Team, Writing, Creative Nonfiction/Memoir, Mini Saga and Photography. Also, select Junior categories have been added this year. PLEASE REMEMBER to watch for any specific language pertaining to music types used, according to the category. See page 9 of the rule book and corresponding sections for further information.

Online Registration: www.siyouth.org IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!

• We have created a Student letter and a Registration Help info sheet for you to hand out. Students will need their leader’s contact information to register online so please fill in the “Leader Information” before reproducing and giving to your students.

• Once students complete their registration, leaders will receive an emailed copy.

• Business Plan, Promo Video, Short Film and all Writing entries must be uploaded at the time of registration.

• Churches must continue to have a permission slip on file for each of their participating students.

Schedules: Final schedules will be emailed out March 15th to all Fine Arts Leaders. Be sure we have your current email addresses on your registration. Also, please notify us of any cancellations immediately so schedules can be adjusted.

Festival Procedure: • Check-In begins Friday 5 PM! All ART WORK is to be labeled and turned in

at Check-In. Please do NOT send it to the Network Office in advance.

• Following the Kickoff Service, performances are to begin at 7:30 PM.

• Pick up festival booklets for a map and schedules at the Check-In table. Practice rooms will be made available.

• All participants are responsible to be in the room on time and to check in with the room monitor.

• Performances will end with a Celebration Service Saturday around 4 PM where certificates and medals will be handed out.

Dear Student:

REGISTRATION HELP

Participants must register themselves individually, along with their parent or guardian. We highly recommend including your youth leader and group members (if applicable) in this process so they can help you fill in the info you may not know and so that your group names will match. Here’s some info to help you get registered:

Registration Type o Regular Participant (students grades 6-12)

o Kappa Tau Participants (college-age students)

Personal Information o Fill out information ABOUT YOURSELF starting with “last name” and ending with “permission to

share.”

Church o Select your church from the dropdown list (listed by city)

Leader Information o Name

o Email

o Phone

o Church Address

Fine Arts Category Selection o Select all the categories that you will be participating in this year

• Note: For $45 Registration you can enter an UNLIMITED number of categories

• Upload files (if applicable)

Group Category Selection o Select the group category from the dropdown list

o Enter THE SAME group name as everyone in your group

o Enter the Accompanist Name (if applicable)

o Upload files (if applicable)

Registration Fees o Enter the number of categories you have signed up for.

Medical Release o Complete the information ABOUT YOURSELF

Registration and Parent Signature o Both names must be typed in confirming your agreement to waivers, rules, etc.

NOTE: After checking “SUBMIT” you must process payment on the following PayPal page in order for your registration to be complete and accepted.
