Correct the sentence
SPaG practices
Correct the sentence is below. Later on this week we are going to be looking at instructions and different sentence types that make instructions. But before we embark on that journey, I wanted to have another practice at some different SPaG terms. Below, you will find some questions that might ask you to…
Find the verb. Find the noun. Find the adjective. You might have to add a suffix – er, est, ing, ed. You might have to add a prefix – un. You might have to see what words are plural and which ones are not.
(one or more than one) You might have to find the conjunction or add one in.
You can read the question to the child, but let them put what THEY think. If they’re not correct, come back to it at the end. Let me know and I can source some more activities based around these areas of misconception.

DT Design a
moving picture.
How did your planning go last week? Did you like my moving ties picture on the class page? Today, I would like you to officially make your design. It can be whatever you want it to be. You can create it however you want to create it! If you’re stuck for some ideas, here are what some of the children at school came up with…
Rapunzel in the tower and the prince was sliding up and down her hair.
A race car zooming around a track. Mr Noonan being chased past the school by a lion. Someone running through the forest being chased by a turtle.
Mrs Guy and I also came up with some fun ideas:
You could have Grace Darling sailing across the rough sea in her boat. You could have an arrow flying from one side of the page into the
other. A plan taking off from the ground. Elsa throwing a snowball at Anna. Elsa throwing Olaf’s head back onto his body.
I’m thinking of doing another this week, but this time it might be all of the different hair styles I’ve had since lockdown started! When you’ve done them, send them in as a picture! I bet they’ll be awesome!! Parents, if your child has an idea and you’re not quite sure how it’ll work, just ping me an email and I’ll try and explain how to get it to work!
