Dear colleagues and partners!Dear friends!

In 2018, the activity of Donetsk CCI, as a reputable business institution, was aimed at improvement of service quality for business, communications development, establishing relationships with the business community. We provided timely and qualified assistance to entrepreneurs in obtaining information on access to the European markets and representation of their interests to public authorities, contributed to the establishment of an effective dialogue between representatives of SMEs in the region and representatives of international organizations, represented as a discussion platform for the business community.

We organized business events for entrepreneurs of Donetsk region, which open new opportunities for business development: business missions to Albania, Germany and Poland, the Tenth regional competition «Entrepreneur of the Year of Donetsk region», the Second regional competition of youth entrepreneurship «Why I choose my own business», the National practical conference «Small and medium business of Donetsk region: existing opportunities and prospects for sustainable development».

Experts of the Chamber conducted a series of trainings for entrepreneurs on the organization and implementation of public procurement, business planning, alternative methods of dispute resolution, opened a consulting line for SMEs in the region «4Round».

Kramatorsk Business Support Center, based on Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized a round table «Public procurement for SMEs of the region: lifehacks for development», the road show «European experts for Ukrainian business», business-forum «Business4Women», anti-conference «Export Talks», trainings for entrepreneurs.

Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry proved once again that it is a reliable support for the business community of Donetsk region. We work for each individual business, creating a success story for our entire region. We associate our future with the successful business development in Donetsk region and believe that new success and achievements are waiting for us in 2019!

UNITING BUSINESS – CREATING SUCCESS!

75 business representatives from 16 cities and 9 districts of Donetsk region took part in the Tenth regional competition «Entrepreneur of the Year of Donetsk region – 2018». The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and laureates of the competition gathered about 100 people.

Donetsk CCI is constantly working to attract enterprises of the region in international cooperation, provides services to find business partners abroad and distributes in Europe and Asia commercial offers of Ukrainian enterprises interested in entering new markets.

54 Ukrainian entrepreneurs took part in foreign business missions to Albania, Poland and Germany, organized by Donetsk CCI; 9 representatives of regional business completed internship in Germany in the sphere of «Economic cooperation in the agricultural sector», «Economic cooperation without industry specifics».

INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS


Kramatorsk Business Support Center, based on Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with EBRD as part of the EU4Business initiative, organized the first anti-conference «Export Talks» in Donetsk region, the purpose of which was to motivate entrepreneurs to develop, open the world for their business and be successful.

Participants of the event were representatives of SMEs: owners, top managers, export managers, foreign economic activity specialists of enterprises that already export or only plan to enter foreign markets.

ANTI-CONFERENCE«EXPORT TALKS»

Donetsk CCI is an official partner in the region of the Program of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany for management training «Fit for partnership with Germany». 9 representatives of regional enterprises completed internship in Germany in the sphere of «Economic cooperation in the agricultural sector», «Economic cooperation without industry specifics».

Experts of Donetsk CCI, which is a member of the consortium «EEN-Ukraine»: conducted 15 consultations on the use of the EEN system and filling out questionnaires regularly placed requests of foreign entrepreneurs on the resources of Donetsk CCI 11 profiles of Ukrainian entrepreneurs were published through the EEN system held an Information day for entrepreneurs about possible ways of using the EEN system and the rulesof working with it

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

20 entrepreneurs of Donetsk region have taken the opportunity and took part in the workshop within the framework of the Roadshow on business support centers «European experts for Ukrainian business», organized by Kramatorsk Business Support Center, based on Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with EBRD as part of the EU4Business initiative.

The Event's aim was to enhance the export activity of entrepreneurs of Donetsk region. Madi Sharma, Henri Maloss and Dmytro Korbut gave participants practical tools to promote products to the European markets and consultations on business development in Ukraine and search of potential partners in the European market.

NATIONAL PRACTICAL CONFERENCE FOR SMEs

Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the conference by with the support of Donetsk regional state administration and Regional Fund for Entrepreneurship Support in Donetsk region.

The main purpose of the Conference was to identify priority areas of support and development of small and medium-sized enterprises to enhance their participation in the process of economic renewal of Donetsk region. The conference became a platform for experience exchange, an effective tool for strengthening existing and establishing new mutually beneficial business contacts.

ROUND TABLE«PUBLIC PROCUREMENT FOR SMEs:

LIFEHACKS FOR DEVELOPMENT»

On May 17, the Round table «Public procurement for SMEs: lifehacks for development» was organized by Kramatorsk Business Support Center, based on Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with EBRD as part of the EU4Business initiative.

The event was a platform to discuss the opportunities and advantages of electronic public procurement for SMEs in the region, problems with participation in the auction, the algorithms of actions for market monitoring and search of «own» tenders, analysis of bidding customers, risks related to contracts, preparation of a successful bid application, strategy determination on how to win the auction, protection of SMEs' rights by way of appeal, legislative changes in 2018.

In order to improve the skills of enterprises and organizations' specialists of Donetsk region in 2018, 67 seminars were organized and held, in which 1687 people participated.

FESTIVAL OF CLUSTER INITIATIVES CLUSTERFEST'2018

Festival of cluster initiatives ClusterFest'2018 was held on November 6 in the framework of the Days of cluster and creative initiatives, which had the objective of enhancing cluster initiatives in Donbas: development of already existing cluster associations and involvement of new enterprises, formation of new clusters.

The festival has become a platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, search for common ground, development of mechanisms for cluster formalization, while thematic discussions and workshops have become an impetus for generation of ideas and development of initiatives that already exist or are forming in the region.

CONTRACTUAL AND LEGAL WORK

Legal department provides legal support to Donetsk CCI, provides legal support on economic and foreign economic activities to business entities.

It became a good tradition to gather in the fall in Mariupol on a business forum Business4Women, which is organized for the second time by Kramatorsk Business Support Center, based on Donetsk CCI together with EBRD as part of the EU4Business initiative.

More than 100 participants gathered for dialogue and exchange of experience, to learn more about how to develop women's entrepreneurship and tools for promotion of their own business.

Presentation of the book «Own business – own life» was the highlight of the forum Business4Women'2018. The publication has become possible due to the EU4Business initiative of the European Union.

PROJECT ACTIVITY


Within the Days of cluster and creative initiatives in Kramatorsk, the first festival of creative initiatives Creative4Business'2018 was held in Donbas for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises who wanted to implement creative initiatives for the benefit of business, to find new ideas for development.

There were discussed the following issues during the festival: how to solve problems with the help of creativity and leave competitors behind, to create «highlights» that will help to distinguish a product or service from the other ones, and will allow to move forward confidently and reach new horizons.

During 2018 12 meetings of sectoral Committees of Donetsk CCI were held. The Committees are constantly operating consultative and advisory bodies, expressing the specific interests of the members of Donetsk CCI and organizations which unite small and medium-sized businesses.

The activities of Small and Medium Businesses Committee, Agricultural & Environmental management Committee, Committee on Female Entrepreneurship Development, Committee on Entrepreneurship in the Sphere of Tourism, Resort and Recreational, Restaurant and Hotel activities are aimed at promoting the creation of conditions for the development of business in Donetsk region.
