Infine, come di consueto, Reallyitalian.it racconta e aggiorna lapanoramica su prodotti seriali e artigianali esclusivamente italiani.
Buona lettura
The design teaching comes from the special space dedicatedto San Francisco. The focus on the Californian city is notrandom. Acknowledged to the most as the first and maybe singleexample in the whole world of the efficient political and socialapplication related to the behavioral diversities of humanbeings, San Francisco is now one of the most sustainable citiesof our planet. In order to introduce the topic, we entrustedour Carte Blanche column to the professor and writer ClaireMarcus Cooper, internationally well-known for her pioneeringresearches on psychological and sociological aspects ofarchitecture and town planning… Her analysis presents andlets us know the uniqueness of the place, where wide greenareas, new cultural centers, long cycling lanes, recreationaloffices, energetic-saving residences, hospitals and treatmentcenters with creative and natural areas, perfectly meet theresidents’ needs. Our best brands are entirely integrated in thiscontext, as we are providing you with wide documentation.Always in California, Los Angeles, the project of the HolocaustMuseum shows particular attention of architects in treatingand contextualizing such a delicate topic. The same lessonis confirmed in the project of the Museum of Texan Colonistsin San Antonio, where the inspiration source is given by thesurrounding nature. Coming back to Europe, we analyzedthe creating process of young designers, highlighting theirqualities emerged during past and recent exhibitions, suchas at the Design Bienniale in Ljubljana. In the end, as usual,Reallyitalian.it tells and updates the panoramic view onexclusively Italian serial and hand-made products.
Enjoy your reading!

QUATTRO TERZION THE PODIUM«It is unusual that a touristic agency links tothe world of design to promote its territory. This is a witness of the particular dimensionof Cortina, where traditions which areprotagonists of the local culture andeconomy – declared the committee president,Kuno Prey, professor at the Design andArts Faculty of the Libera Università diBolzano, as well as creator of the contest
– The theme of the tender chose for thisyear is the concretization of the hospitalitytradition that the valle d’Ampezzo hasalways kept: the bench is an object able torepresent a gesture, it is an invitation tomake oneself at home». Now at its secondedition, the design contest promoted byCortina Turismo focuses on the design ofa bench (after the first edition which wasdedicated to the world of cradles) andawards Quattro terzi (in the picture above),realized by Alberto Gallato and GuidoPosenato, designers from Vicenza who wonfor the «essential and pure nature of thedesign used to face the topic of the contest. This bench not only offers the occasion torest, but thanks to its structure which seemsto frame the landscape, can transform intoa privileged observation point. Seats havedifferent typologies and can welcome manypersons. During summer there is space toplace bicycles, while during winter seatsadjust to the height of the snow»: declaredthe committee, made of Kuno Prey, InekeHans, designer (Arnhem, the Netherlands);Michele Merlo, architect and vice-presidentof the Fondazione Architettura BellunoDolomiti; Roberto Zambelli, artisan (Cortinad’Ampezzo), Stefano Zardini photographerand design experts (Berlin) -, the presidentof Cortina Turismo Stefano Illing and thedirector Cinzia Confortola, together withthe Council Member for Sport and Tourismof the Cortina Commune, Marco Ghedina. The project will be realized by the LacedelliCortina carpentry. Laura Galimberti
THE TEATRO CONTINUO OF BURRI REVIVESAfter 25 years, part of the project for the reconstruction ofthe Teatro Continuo of Alberto Burri, on the base of originaldrawings, created in 1973 as the first scenic platform inside ParcoSempione. The work, realized on the occasion of the XV Triennale, was a structure-stage made of a platform in concrete and fiveside spinning platforms in painted steel. Located on the idealaxis connecting the center of Milan to corso Sempione, becomingintegral part of the park, it functioned as a perspective telescopeframing the Torre del Filarete on one hand, and on the otherhand the Arco della Pace. The Teatro Continuo offered itself as aready-to-use scenic machine, free seat for activities and artisticperformances in a historic moment characterized by a tendencyto dialogue with the audience and by a changing of artisticactivities from the interior to the exterior. Furthermore, it waspart of a whole having particular artistic value and includingthe Bagni Misteriosi of Giorgio De Chirico and AccumulazioneMusicale and Seduta of Arman, still present in the park. Theproject will see the participation of the Commune of Milan, theTriennale Foundation, addressee of the work and responsiblefor maintenance, Burri Foundation, which offered the originaldrawings, and NCTM Studio Legale Associato.
