Food cycle and pond preparation: Phytoplankton and large plant develop their

body in the presence of sunlight by usingmineral present in water.

Ponds preparation steps;-Ponds management,-weed management,-Omnivores fish reduction,-lime application,-Fertilizer application,-Natural food test,-Water toxicity test.

-Borshi use-Rotanon application.

Rotanon comes from deris plant.

18 gm /feet depth/decimal rotanon

needed (1.5 ppm)



Application of LimeSuitable PH for fish culture:

pH= 7-9 ( above alkaline)

-Lime helps to manage soil and waterborne organism.

-Prevention of fish infectious diseases.

-Fertilizer effectively increases.-Increases of CO2 availability for

photosynthesis.



Precautions of lime apply:-Lime should apply after 7-10

days of pesticide application

and before 7 days of fertilizer application.

-lime should not mix in plastic

container, it should mix inearthen container.



Types of Lime-Stone lime,

-burn lime-Kolichun

-Dolomite



Fertilizer Dose/decimalOrganic matter/Cow dung:5-7 Kg.

Compost :8-10 Kg.

Urea :100-150 gm

TSP :50-75 gm

MP :0-25 gm
