Special Rules: Night Fighting, page 154, FoW V2

Dawn Attack; Starting turn 2, roll 1d6 on a 4+ dawn arrives. Add 1d6 to the roll each turn until dawn arrives.

Special Rules: German Set Up: For this “Fighting Withdrawal” scenario all German forces must be set up inside the Charleroi Canal area (2/3) of the board. Objective set-up area does not change. Charleroi Canal: Only Infantry and Man Packed teams may cross the Charleroi canal. It takes a full 6” movement to swim across and the team is to consider to have “Double-timed!” If the team receives any fire while in the water they will pay the Double-time penalty. The Charleroi canal is deep and has very steep sides. To fire at a team inside the canal the firer must be next to the canal (dirt part of bank) or on higher elevation. Canal Draw Bridge: Offers concealment and bullet proof cover if fired across wall or into draw bridge operators room. Railroad embankment and Rail Bridge: The railroad embankment and bridge are considered rough terrain and a bog check 1 for vehicles to cross. If an AFV bogs when crossing over an embankment it will bog showing the underbelly. All shots at the front are considered as side shots. The em-bankment does conceal and provide Bullet proof cover for non-AFV teams that are di-rectly behind it when fired upon.

Wheat & Green Fields: Wheat fields (Yellow) are a bog check 1 and are treated offer concealment Green Fields: Green fields are a bog check 1and offer concealment to Inf, MP and Lt Guns only. Plowed Fields and Shell Holes: Plowed fields and shell holes are a skill test to not bog. Orchards: Orchards are a bog check 1 and are treated as woods for concealment but may be seen all the way through

German Off-Board Smoke Barrage: The Germans are allowed off-board smoke barrage. Roll 1d6 for the number of smoke rounds, 1-2= 2 barrages; 3-4= 3 barrages, 5-6= 4 barrages. Each barrage has two smoke templates. A maximum of two barrages (4 smoke templates) are allowed in one turn. Only the Company Commander and 2iC (+1 for observation for both) may call in the smoke. The Co Cmdr and 2iC can both call in smoke on separate targets in the same turn. All other FoW artillery/smoke rules are in effect.
