Portland, OR Utility Maintenance Technician 01/2014 – 09/2014 As a Utility Maintenance Technician at Columbia Grain Inc., I provided direct onsite support by: Safely and efficiently performing plant switching operations, utilizing remote control locomotives. Successfully verified the safe and proper working condition of all equipment prior to use. Utilizing available personal safety equipment, and ensuring the safety of men and equipment at all times. Troubleshooting and correcting electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic components as required. Utilizing remote controlled crane technology to safely and efficiently load millions of dollars of product into internationally owned and operated ships. Safely operated heavy equipment to include fork lifts, front end loaders, bulldozers, and backhoes. Repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
