While no one can be certain of their gene0c disposi0on for disease expression, Dr. Seaman’s goal is to live as long as his grand/great grand parents who lived into their 90’s. Here he is pictured with his Great Aunt Margaret who is 99 years old. His goal is to live as long as his rela0ves and hopes to do so by following an an0‐inflammatory nutri0on program and a vigorous exercise program. David R. Seaman, DC, MS, DABCN deflame@deflame.com While in clinical prac0ce in the mid 1980’s, he became aware of the developing research that linked nutri0on to the inflammatory process and no0ced that appropriate dietary changes could significantly improve various musculoskeletal and visceral condi0ons. Based on Dr. Seaman’s clinical experience, his masters degree in nutri0on project focused on nutri0onal methods for pain control and he has followed the scien0fic literature related to nutri0on and inflamma0on during the ensuing years. This led to the publica0on of the first book on nutri0on for inflamma0on, which was followed by many ar0cles and book chapters devoted to the topic of nutri0on for the modula0on of pain and inflamma0on. His educa0onal efforts resulted in being awarded the 2006 Academician of the Year by the American Chiroprac0c Associa0on. To see some of his ar0cles, search for Seaman DR at hUp://www.pubmed.gov .
