Hike-a-thon & Basket Raffle Nov. 7th Come out to camp, walk the trails, go for a zip (on our 600
ft. long, dual zip-line) and enjoy the fall foliage. Don't worry
about getting hungry while you’re hiking. There will be hot
beverages, juice, bagels and donuts to get you going, bottled
water and snacks on the trails, and a delicious lunch served
after your morning walk. While you’re here, check out the
Agapé Basket raffle. For $1 a ticket you will have a chance

Good News, Good Brews October 9-11
The Bible and beer and the beach? This retreat borders on
something almost divine! Gather with others, October 9-11,
for worship, Bible study led by Pastor Charlie Zimmerman,

“River of Hope” is:
The “River of Hope” Giving Club has been established as a way for
people to share their commitment to quality outdoor experiences through
ongoing gifts of time, talent, treasure, and prayer. The “River of Hope”
Annual Giving Club is a way to share your desire to make a difference
in the lives of others and be actively involved in the hopes and dreams of
Agapé Kure Beach Ministries.
Something New!!
“River of Hope” encompasses a broad view of what it means to support
this ministry. “River of Hope” is anchored by the Annual Giving Club
tradition which has brought most of you here today. Your on-going sup-
port funds our summer camp staff which is our greatest asset.
Additional areas of recognition include the following: Legacy Club and
Volunteers
Legacy Club – This is broken down into two main categories –
Cumulative Giving (which represents all gifts you have given since
2005 in order to support AKB Ministries). Additionally, we recognize
those who have listed AKB through Estate Gifts. These gifts include:
wills, gift annuities, estates, life insurance or IRA, beneficiaries, or other
planned giving. Legacy Gifts also recognize congregations and organiza-
tions who continue to support our ministry.
Volunteers – Gifts of time and talent shared at both sites are recognized
here. Our plan is to recognize anyone who has shared 10 hours of time or
more in the past year with our ministry. Those sharing time at the Kure
Beach Center will be recognized in the Pelican Club. Individuals giving
of their time at Camp Agapé will be recognized in the Eagle Club.
We Ask for Your Help
As we prepare these lists we ask for your prayerful patience and your in-
put. We work hard to recognize all who support our ministry. Sometimes
records are entered incorrectly (human error) or translated incorrectly. If
you know of a correction or addition to be made to the list, please notify
us in order for us to properly recognize all who share in our ministry.
