INTRODUCTIONINTRODUCTION

JITM

•Data acquisition is the process of sampling of real world physical conditions and conversion of the resulting samples into digital numeric values that can be manipulated by a computer.

•The process of using a processor to collect the data through sensors, analyze the data & save and output results of the collection and analysis.

METHODOLOGY:-

Methodology includes two things.

1.Signal Sensing2.Data storing & Managing the System

1.Signal Sensing:- The physical state that to be measured is first to be transformed into unified form that can be sampled by a data acquisition system, called as Sensor.

2.Data Storing & Managing system:- Here the analog signal is converted to digital signal. Once digitized, the signal can be encoded to reduce and correct transmission errors. The corrected data are saved into a system for the future references.

OBJECTIVES:-

JITM

To look back on past events and identify areas of interest and most of all saving cost and time. These events could assist in improving the following:

• Efficiency• Performance• Accuracy• Reliability• Energy consumption

APPLICATION:-

1.Weather station recording (such as wind speed / direction, temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation)

2.Road traffic counting

3.Wildlife research

4.Tank level monitoring

Future Scope: -

• A Temperature Recorder for monitoring the performance of a heating and air conditioning system

•A Depth Recorder for tracking changes in the water table

•A flight data recorder (FDR), a piece of recording equipment used to collect specific aircraft performance data
