Dar Jaguar brings together an exquisite blend of traditional Moorish and Oriental architecture

with an elegant European romanticism.

All suites overlook its central courtyard where palm trees intertwine with bougainvillea

and drape onto an antique marble fountain. There are four spacious en suites and the Royal Suite.

Each has its own individual style with furnishings and heirlooms sourced from around the world.

Adding to the lavish ambience are three salons and a large sun-drenched roof terrace with a magnificent view over the

city. And there’s a plunge pool set under ancient carved woodwork and a huge Syrian chandelier.

THE RIAD

Originally built as a fortress, the ancient walls of the riad are many metres thick,

so all sounds of the bustling medina are shut out as you enter a space of peace and beauty.

Hours melt away on the terrace high above the city where you will be basking in the ever-present sunshine on

comfortable loungers, talking under a soft shaded seating area or dipping into the plunge pool for refreshment.

There is a wonderful choice of quiet areas around the house for reading, eating, drinking, sunbathing or snoozing. The courtyard greenery attracts a mass of songbirds until dusk when the jasmine begins to fill the air. with its

delicate fragrance.

The pride of Dar Jaguar…

This sumptuous suite is a lavishly cocooned private

apartment with its own entrance, huge four poster bed,

private Italian-style "Juliette" balcony and freestanding

copper bath.

The grand Syrian hanging Chandelier faces the balcony

and overlooks the gently flowing petal-filled fountain of

the Dar Jaguar courtyard below.

The Royal suite is perfect for honeymoons and

special occasions.

A king size four poster bed has been especially commissioned for this room, as have the sumptuous jewel coloured silk velvet curtains and cushions that adorn it.

For romantic winter nights, there is an open fireplace. Four state carver chairs – two Victorian leather and two gilt and turquoise silk art deco sit proudly on the Georgian black and white floor tiling.

The sculpted plasterwork framing the entire suite is over three hundred years old and breath taking in its detail and intricacy.

These historic features are lit by a magnificent 1800s French crystal chandelier.

The State of Grace bathroom is lavishly stylish in black

polished tadlekt. A huge copper freestanding bath sits

at its centre lit by two romantic hanging Syrian crystal

lights.

BABYLONIAN VAMP

Set off the peaceful open salon behind a romantic archway on the first floor, this alluringly exotic magenta suite is perfect for

loving escapes.

Babylonian Vamp has a double bed, lavish silk cushions, a tall marble console table and exquisite Syrian crystal lights. The bathroom is in a rich mahogany coloured polished tadlekt with Grecian columns at the entrance to a deep bath and a large shower. It has two large twin copper basins.

DAMASCAN BLUSH

A rich ochre desert coloured room hidden behind a heavy antique brass studded door and enriched with exquisite Syrian crystal lights

and a stunning bathroom.

Set off the beautiful Dar Jaguar courtyard, Damascan Blush has twin beds or a double bed, a black ammonite marble console table,

lavish silk cushions and exquisite pastel coloured Syrian hanging lights.

The bathroom is in gun-metal grey polished tadlekt with a large tadlekt bath set between two tadlekt basins and a pair of

tall brass mirrors.

PERIDOT’S POWDER ROOM

A pale Georgian green room serenely enclosed behind a pair of stunning two metre tall cedar-wood doors on the ground floor.

Peridot’s Powder Room has a double bed and a pale cream high marble console table lit by beautiful copper cutwork lights.

The bathroom is in pale peridot tadlekt with Grecian columns at the entrance to a deep bath and a large shower. A Georgian

mirror, a French Provencal tryptique and two large copper basins are lit by delicately sculpted brass lights.

GOSSAMER WINGS

A pale aquamarine coloured room with light from five windows and overlooking the beautiful Dar Jaguar courtyard, fountain and

bougainvillea.

Gossamer Wings has twin beds or a double bed and exquisite Syrian hanging lights. As it is near to the State of Grace and also

accessed by an independent staircase, it is perfect as an adjoining family room for children.

The shower room is in pale blue tadlekt with a large copper basin and an exquisite carved half moon brass light.

CUISINE

Our food is inspiringly prepared from fresh and simple produce by our talented chef.

It has often been praised by guests as the best food they have eaten during their time in Marrakech!

The food is seasonal, fragrant and delicious: freshly squeezed juices and smoothies of all varieties, delicious yoghurts,

patisseries and eggs any way that they are requested for breakfast; inspired salads, fresh fish, grilled meats and soups

for lunch and traditional Moroccan feasts for dinner.

All lunches and dinners are available on request.

Dar Jaguar will happily accommodate special dietary requirements and culinary requests.

Guests are welcome to dine in Dar Jaguar’s exotic courtyard in the soft light of the Syrian chandeliers by the fountain or they may prefer to look over the rooftops and enjoy Marrakech’s red light sunset on the terrace.

THE DAR JAGUAR COOKING EXPERIENCE

Dar Jaguar is proud to offer new cooking lessons.

The dedicated staff will guide guests through the souks of Marrakech to buy the raw ingredients at the local market,

before providing hands-on guidance in the residence kitchen to prepare and cook Marrakech-style, including tagines,

mint tea and fresh Moroccan bread.

The price starts at 1500Dhms for two which will include a three course dinner cooked by the guests!

CLIMATE

The hottest months are July and August where temperatures reach around 40 degrees centigrade, but the winter months are still enjoyable with temperatures reaching around 23 degrees centigrade.

Marrakech is known as the "ochre city" - blessed with sunshine and beautiful sunsets virtually every day of the year.

ACCESS

Dar Jaguar is perfectly located in the heart of the old Medina in Marrakech,

neighbouring the exotic Place des Epices (spice market) and less than five minute’s walk

from the world-renowned Jemaa el Fna Square.

Marrakech Menara airport is serviced by many airlines from all UK airports. These include BA, Easy Jet, Ryan Air, Royal Air Maroc (Atlas Bleue), Thomson and more.

Flying time is less than 3.5 hours from London.

Dar Jaguar staff will meet guests at the airport for the easiest of transfers if requested. The journey from the airport is only 15-20 minutes.
