Lifesavers SIUC Spring 2010 – Fall 2012Lifesavers SIUC is a student-run Registered Student Organization that assists young adults in dealing with their day-to-day struggles. Students enrolled as Lifesavers are trained to listen confidentially when others require their support. Lifesavers require excellent people skills as some situations (depression, suicide, abuse) are delicate and require the person seeking help to learn to trust a Lifesavers member. Lifesavers SIUC was founded by four former high school Lifesavers, including myself. This is the first college-based Lifesavers chapter in the world.
