Streetlight upgrade for Shepherd Parkway SW and Blue Plains Drive SW, Plan Designer/Estimator.This project consisted of designing the updates to the streetlight system at Shepherd Parkway and Blue Plains Drive, SW. Hayat Brown, LLC assisted with the preparation of the lighting portion of the streetlight design plans for the 40%, 65%, 90%, and final design and well as producing the quantity takeoff and estimates. Additionally, Hayat Brown, LLC provided project coordination throughout the project duration. Mr. Dang Nguyen was teaming up as a core personnel with 2 other teams, which are Alpha Sieger Inc. and Daniel Consultants Inc. DC Streetcar Surveying Services and Dynamic Envelope Pavement Making Verification, Inspector/Junior Engineer.The scope of work on this project was to conduct operational safety and inspection testing of the DC Streetcar and as-built surveying of the dynamic envelope markings between Union Station and Oklahoma Avenue/Benning Road. In his role as Inspector, Mr. Nguyen performed safety actions as observed, monitored, and recorded the testing process and results.

Traffic Control Plan Design for Work Zone for Various Locations, MOT Plan Designer.Mr. Dang Nguyen was assigned to perform the Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans for several pavement locations with MOT expert from Alpha Sieger Inc. who had years of experiences with District Department of Transportation.Key Project Lead Activities:

Reviewed the project area and decides the most suitable MOT Plan for different locations. Used Micro Station and Google Earth synchronically to create the MOT Plans for different phases of

specific locations. Co-operated with the client and also DDOT standards to finalize the plans that suit for the residential and

commercial conditions of each particular case.

Dupont Crown Plaza Infrastructure Feasibility Study, Office Engineer.Mr. Dang Nguyen was working with project team for the area study, construction process, MOT plans and also the estimate for the Study Project of the new Bridge Building technique, Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) Method.Key Project Lead Activities:

Field visit for Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of the project area. Created reports based on Field visit and submitted to the key personnel. Worked individually on creating MOT Plan at different phases for the Project and complete the detailed

plans after reviewing with the team. Based on different states reference and the basic standard of the ABC Method, created the spreadsheet

which can be generally applied to any ABC Project; worked with team to sum up and produce the draft estimates for the Project, which are currently still in considered for the construction approaches, either 1 or 2 Spans.

Martin Luther King corridor Study, Office Engineer.Mr. Dang Nguyen was teaming up with different firms in a District project which requires professional study and well-understandings about the District Standard. He was working on Traffic Signal Warranty for different intersections of a mile-long project.Key Project Lead Activities:

Produced workbooks for Traffic Signal Warrant based on different conditions of the particular intersections throughout the MLK Jr. Avenue.

Participated in meetings to discuss about suitable MOT plans and approaches for each specific intersection. Also, takes notes and creates reports with comments for future review.

Created report for each intersections with all the information gathered, including area conditions and Traffic Signal Warrant, by that, recommended the approach to develop the Project Traffic Condition.

He also kept updating the NBI reports preventive maintenance and repair activities and managed the large amount of related documents for the program.Key Project Lead Activities:

Field visit with supervisor for inspecting Fort Myers’ actual stone masonry work. Worked on draft cost estimate of the DC bridge system by using the Standard Specification Manual. Jones Residence Full Home Renovation, 627 4th St, Laurel, MD 20707Mr. Dang Nguyen was working with team on the pre-construction phase of Reconstruction and Full Renovation of a residential property that is estimated up to $300,000. Key Project Lead Activities:

Field visit with contractor for survey and schedule time for site working. Worked on cost estimating and negotiating with the owner. As-built drawing and Electrical plan reviewed

with the architect for accurate details. Managed all change orders submissions from estimating to final acceptance.
