Right... After what felt like hours of begging and silent praying, we finally stopped.

I guess God heard me then.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. Holy shit! Im in the middle of no

where! The only thing I saw is trees, trees and fucking trees. Were in a fucking

forest! And, the worst part is Im alone with my mortal enemy, Edward Jameson.

What are we doing here?

Why is he taking me here?

Maybe, here is where it all ends for me. He is finally going to kill me and bury me

in the woods. I shivered at the thought and glanced at him. Sure enough, he was

staring at me with the same evil grin he had when hes planning to do something

bad to me.

I will not going to show my weakness. Because I know that would make him even

fun to torture me.

Why are we here? Take me back to the damn school! I yelled. But, that doesnt

seem to bother him. Instead, he continued grinning and walked closer towards

me. I just glared at him.

Edward Jameson! If youre planning on doing something bad to me here, well, let

me tell you something. I wont hesitate to do the same to you. Only Ill make it

even worse. I warned him.

Im not bragging but, one of the reason where no one at school dared to pick a

fight with me, no matter if its a boy or a girlwas because theyve seen me take

down a guy twice larger than me, unfortunately for him. And, they all know that I

was an eighth degree black belt Karate kid.

You must be curious about why dont I just finish them off at the school parking

lot. Well, unfortunately, Edward and some of his gang are also a Black belt in

Karate. They are Connel and Jonathan who are now in black belt fifth degree,

Riley and Michael in sixth and Edward was in nine. He quit after me.

Dontknow why. Dont care.

The others were only his back up. Obviously, he is better than me. Even if I were

that good, I know I wouldnt be able to fight all of them at the same time. And,

that would mean wasting time, energy and even risking my own life. So, I justhave to wait until the right time to run away. But, sadly, I got dragged here by

that arrogant son of a bitch.

And, I dont know any other way to get out of this forest. So, I just have to follow

him or Ill get lost.

As if he could read my mind, he grinned widely. He caught my hood sweater and

pulled me to the deeper forest. I protested the whole way but he just ignored me

like I wasnt even there.

Finally, he stopped. In front of us, is a cottage house with beautiful flowers

surrounding it.

Why is Edward taking me here?

I heard him sighed and continued dragging me towards the house. Once were

inside, all I saw is a room full of trashed everywhere and what smelled like rotten

food or... whatever that is. I turned around to face him.

I glared at him, The hell I wont! Who are you telling me to clean up yourmess?!

I practically growled at him. The evil grin returned. He held up his left arm with

my bag in his hand. My eyes widened.

How the hell did he get that? And, why the hellI didntnotice it before?!

Give me back those! I yelled but he just chuckled and raised his hand higher

when I tried to jump for my bag pack. Apparently, hes too tall and I cant even

reach it. I tried to punch him everywhere but he dodged it pretty fast.

Screw him for being a pro in karate!

Give. Me.Back. My bag! I yelled, again. Then, so quickly that I dont even

noticed, he launched himself at me, making us both fell to the floor with him on

top of me. But, when my head was about to hit hard on the floor, his hand moves

to the back of my head to prevent me from hitting the floor. Thats how it looks

like.

Umm, what just happened? Did he?

..Nah, I dont think hes trying to what? Save me? Oh, please he is Edward

Jameson for God sake! Other girls would think he is hot or something. Though, to

me? He is and always will be my mortal enemy no matter what happens between

us.

Get up, you fool! I tried to push him but unfortunately hes too strong and

heavy. He just stayed there while staring down at me with an expression that I not

quite understand.

It took him about five minutes to snap out of it and sat up, still half on top of me.

He unzipped my bag and search for something in it. Then, with whatever he found

there made him smirked. He took out the stuff. Its my cell phone. He put it down

on the floor and went to take the other. My iPod, my purse, and last were the one

that shocked me. Aidens iPod. How did it get there?! Did Aiden put it there

yesterday?

In case, you dont know. The iPod is everything to Aiden. His mom gave it to him

on his thirteen birthday. He loved his mom so much but he had only seen her in

years. Since then, hed never go out without his iPod with him. He treats it like it

was his most precious thing. Hed be okay if I borrow it. Only because he knew

that I knewhow important his iPod is to him and I would never let anything

happen to it. Nor even scratch it.

Edward seems to know something. He smiled and waved the iPod on his hand.

Hmm, I wonder if Aiden will appreciate if I smash his precious iPod into pieces

and send it back to him. What do you think, Vynnie? You and I both know how

much this thing means to him. I was shocked. How did he know all this?!

And, Im pretty sure if something bad happen to it, you guys probably wouldnt

be friends anymore since youre the one he trusted the most to hold this. I was

speechless.

He was right. I know Edward wont hesitate to break it. He will not just throw

away an opportunity like this to make my life miserable.

I glared at him, Whatdo you want, then? I asked.

Then, you probably wouldnt mind if I do this. He raised his hand up, the one

holding the iPod and was going to smash it on the floor but I quickly stopped him.

No! Please dont! Ill do anything. I begged. I blinked back the tears. I dont

want to risk losing my best friend.

I continued. Please dont! I promise Ill do anything you say as long as you

return the iPod back in good condition. My voice cracked a bit.

His expression went from excitement to a hint of sadness for a second before

quickly changed back to grinning like an idiot.

And, for that, I cleaned, washed, vacuum, scrubbed, mopped and everything

while Edward just sat there on the couch watching my every move while listening

to Aidens iPod. He seems very happy that I finally lose to him.

After finish cleaning the living room, I was surprised that its already 5:35 pm.

Shit! What the hell was that?! Its like a tingling feeling in my stomach, and I have

goose bumps all of a sudden.

I was fighting the urge to attack him right then and there, so I bit my tongue and

just nodded. He smiled and patted my hair, Good, then. Ill see you tomorrow.Sleep well. He winked, and walked back to his bike and sped away.

I ran as quickly as I can to my bedroom and was about to jump to Aidens window

but stopped when I heard voices coming from there. It was Aidens parents. What

the hell? Aidens mom is here too!

And it sounded like both his parents were arguing about something.

I kept my room dark and take a closer look, they were arguing, about Aiden.

How am I supposed to know that he is sick today?! I was at work the whole

time! yelled Aidens dad.

Thats the problem! Youre always at work! Youve never took your fully

responsibility as a father to a son! Yelled Aidens mom back.

Hes 17 now for God sake! He doesnt need me to take care of him the whole

fucking time! Besides, he got a good friend whod help him around while Im gone

After a few moments of waiting, I finally heard silence. So, that means Aidens

parents is out of his room. I quickly jump over his window and landed in his

bedroom.

Aiden jumped when he saw me, and quickly rushed over to give me a big bearhug. We stayed like that for a while, waiting for Aidens cry to cool down.

So, youre leaving for three weeks? I asked when he started to relaxed a bit. He

nodded.

I guess you heard them. I nodded.

Vynnie, I really dont want to leave. He said. And, I know the reason behind it,

he loves his mom and he wanted to go with her but he didnt want to leave me

here alone.

So, I try to convince him that it is fine, You should go. Then, you can spend time

with your mom there. You wont regret it. I tried to smiled, assuring him.

I sighed. We can text or call each other every single day. Well ask how each

other days turn out. He sighed and finally he nodded. Okay, but dont you ever

I err .. I was b-busy today. And, II got detention after school. I lied, stuttering

a bit. He didnt seem to believe it one bit. He narrowed his eyes at me, Youre

lying.

I shook my head furiously, No, Im not!

He warned.

Its true, Aid. I got double detention today because the principal caught me

running late to school and arguing with Edward Jameson in the hallway. I lied.

I laughed, and nodded, I promise, Aid. You dont have to worry about anything. I

can take care of myself.

He smiled, I know you can. He sighed, Ill miss you, Vynns.

Awww.Ill miss you too, sweetie. I pulled him closer. He buried his face in my

neck and silently crying. Weve never separate from each other before. No longer

than 24 hours but we still cant stop worrying about each other.

After another hour of talking and helping him packed, Aidens mom finally told

that it is time to leave. We both head downstairs, holding hands. We stopped

near his moms car. He turned to face me, his expression almost hurt, pain, like he

didnt want to go.

Hey, no more of that sad look. At least, be happy your mom wanted to spend

time with you. I said, stroking his cheek. He leaned in to my touched.

I guess I should. One question, I seem to remember putting my iPod in your bag

yesterday? he asked, I froze. What if he wants it back?!

He saw the fear look on my face, Whats wrong, Vynnie? he asked, concerned.

I quickly wiped the looked on my face and tried to smiled, Nothing. Err yeah, t-

the iPod is with me. Why? Do you want it b-back? I asked, stuttering a bit.

He shook his head, No, I want you to have it while Im away. If I return then, you

can give it back to me.

I silently let out a relief, Really? A-Are you sure?

He smiled, Im sure, Vynn.

I jumped and attack him with a big bone hug. He returned it back by pulling me

even closed to him.

A car horn suddenly made us jumped and pulled away. Aiden moms head

suddenly pop out of the window, Comon, Aiden. Hurry up. Its not like youd be

gone forever. Its only three weeks.

Yes, mom. Ill be right there in a sec. he turned and leaned in to kiss my cheek, I

was a little startled when his lips touched the corner of my lips. I blushed when he

pulled away. Its probably a new friendship thing to us, right? ...Right.

I watched as Aidens mom car drove away before head back to my place. I sighed,feeling in no mood to do anything so I just went early to bed.

Today, I was pretty much bored to death. Not only that I was forced to be

Edwards slave, Aiden left with his mom for three weeks and last night, mom was

home early, she woke me up for dinner and asked about my test. So, I told her I

failed on my English test and she decided to take away all of my stuff for a month

until I get good grades, again. Now, I was thinking of a way to how to kill myself.

Class was the same as usual except in Math class, Mr Robert yelled at me for

sleeping in his class. Well, dont blame me.I cant sleep well last night without

Aidens body to cuddle too.

When its time for lunch, I head to the library not bothering that I was a little

hungry for not eating breakfast.

Okay, so I was still smiling through the whole class, day dreaming is more fun than

Finally, the last bell rang. I take a peek outside at the hallway. No sign of Edward

or any of his gang. Good! I head to my locker to put my books back since I dont

have my bag with me. I jumped when I closed the locker door, Edward was there

leaning next to my locker, grinning like an idiot.

You dont think I would forget about our little agreement yesterday, dont you?

he asked, leaning his face closer to mine.

No. I, uhh, II just wanted to put my books back into my locker then I would

come meet you outside the parking lot.

He grinned, That better be true, or else. He warned, in a harsh tone. If theres

no heaven or hell, I would probably kill him right then and there. I sighed.

Comon. He caught my hood sweater and pulled me all the way to his bike ,

unaware of the people who were watching. He released me to put on his helmet.

Just as I sit down, I heard someone calling Edward from behind us. I turned to

Speaking of the devil, he said he wanted to buy us some food while we here. So,

he left me here alone but not without a warning about escaping. I rolled my eyes.

Moments passed, Edward hasnt return yet. I started cleaning, again. The faster I

replied, looking at his now empty plate.

It was in 1st

grade, I was sitting on a swing, all alone with no one to play with.

The others mustve walked away now. I didnt hear anything except the wind and

Great! I hope we had class together. Im new here by the way.

Oh So, youre the new kid Mrs Jane told us yesterday.

I guess I am. He said. Then, he lookeddown and gasped, Oh No! Your leg is

He looked almost frightened. Comon, lets go. Ill take you to the nurse office.

way. Wed eventually made it there without me crying. I admit, for a seven years

old kid, Edward sure is strong. The nurse saw us and quickly rushed over to help

us.

The nurse asked us what had happened but I kept silence. Edward helped me

explain all of it. Then, I saw blood on her leg. Then, I gave her a piggyback ride

all the way here and you saw us. he trailed off.

The nurse smile, Shes lucky to have a friend like you. Whats your name, kid?

she asked him. My name is Edward. Edward Jameson. And, Im 7. Shes Vynnie.

And, shes 7, too. He said, cheerfully.

The nurse cant help but smile back. Edward told her to lean down so he could

whisper something in her ear, but I can simply hearit from where I sit. I dont

know about her, but I think she and I are going to be bestfriend. And, I also like

her. But, you cant tell anyone. Promise?

The nurse nodded, Promise. Edward held up his pinky finger and the nurse did

the same. They pinky swear.

Edward turn to me and smile, How are you feeling? I smile and blushed, Im

fine now. Thanks to you.He blushed, too.

Aww! How adorable! Come here. Have yourselfa lollipop. She said, handling the

bottle jar that filled with lollipop in it. Our faces brightened up. I grab the red one

and Edwards the green one. We said thanks to the nurse and went back to our

class. It turns out we do have a class together.

Since then, Edward and I were inseparable. Were always dideverything together.

And, nobody dare to pick on me, again. All because of Edward. He never failed to

make me laughed. He told me his parents are divorced and I almost cried about it.

Ive met his brothers. They were all nice but a little protective of us. Not only that

Edward and I were always together at school, but also in Karate training. Edward

has told me about it, and I was happy to join it so I could spend more time with

him. But, he didnt know the reason of it.

Its been seven months, Edward and I were still the same, inseparable as ever be.

Until one day, Mrs Jane informed us that there will be a new kid at our class. His

name is Aiden Joseph. He will start tomorrow.

The next day, I was sitting on a swing waiting for Edward to come when I saw

someone get pushed to the ground by the kid, Stevie Fred, who picked on me

before Edward came here. I rushedto the boy whos on the ground, trembling. I

help him up and made him stand behind me. I glared at Stevie. If I ever saw you

picking on him or anyone else, again. I swear Stevie I willkick your butt.

Stevie laughed, Like Imscared. Youre just a little girl and Im big I didnt let

him finish. I spun my body around and swung my leg to kick him in the face. He

fell. Everyone was quiet until Stevie started to cry, yelling for his mummy,

everyone laughed.

I took the boy to the nurse office. The same nurse came and helped us up. She

asked what causes this and I told her everything. The nurse then said to the boy,

who has been pickedon. The boy flickered at me. Really? he asked. I nodded.

The nurse continued, But, thankfully her prince charming came to the rescued. I

smiled, remembering the day. Suddenly the door burst out open and Edward came

running in to me. Vynnie! Are you okay? I heard youre in the nurse office so I

rushed over to see you. Im sorry Imlate. What happened?He grabbed my

shoulders and examined me.

I smiled, Im fine, Edward. But, Im just helping this boy out.

He looked confused, Who? Oh I mustve blocked his way. I moved away.

Edward saw the kid and frowned. Oh Him. The new kid?

Yeah. His name is Wait, we havent introduced ourselves, yet.

Aiden. Aiden Joseph.The boy answered, shyly.

Hi! Im Vynnie. And, this is Edward. I glanced at Edward to see him glaring at the

boy. I elbowed him. He raised his eyebrows at me, Be nice. I muttered at him.

Since that, me and Aiden were closed, inseparable. Ive found out that his parents

were divorced, too. He has no siblings and guess what! He lives next to my house!

Hes my new neighbor! Its about time somebody moved to that house. But,unfortunately, Edward wasnt happy to know about it. He refused to talk to him,

even me if I kept on being friends with Aiden. So, we grew apart each day. Ive

tried to talk to him every time but he just pretending like he dont know me.

Then, one day, Aiden was absent, he had a cold. So, I was alone at school. Edward

still refused to even talk to me. I was upset that he would do this to me just

because Im closed to Aiden. Ivemissed him, so much. And, the time when were

always together. Sometimes, I cried at night remembering him, wishing everything

had gone back to normal. Thankfully, Aiden was there to comfort me. He heard

me crying and wanted to know what was wrong, so he jumped over his window

and landed in my room. And, it continued like that ever since.

It was the end of the school day, everyone was rushing towards the front door to

meet their parents. I was a little late because I was helping Mrs Jane putting our

class exercise books to the teachers room, and she said she wantedto talk to me.

She noticed about me and Edwards behaviours around each other. So, she askedabout it. I didnttell her anything, and thankfully she didnt push it. So, I walked

back to the class to grab my bag pack but surprised when I saw Edward were

there sitting on my seat, waiting for me.

When he saw me, he smiled, Hey, Vynnie. Can I talk to you for a sec?

Sure. he handed me my bag pack and we walked to the playground together.

Vynnie, Im sorry for ignoring you lately. Its just thatI dontlike it when other

boys talking to you. I dont know why but it makes me angry.

Why would you be angry, anyway? Its not like I will choose them over you.I

said, truthfully.

His real smile returned, Really? Can you forgive me? And, can we go back to the

way it was?

I jumped and hug him, Of course! Youre my Eddie. You will always be my best

friend!

I felt him smiled on my shoulder. He hugged me back, tightly. We stayed like that

for a moment, none of us wanted to let go. Weve missed each other terribly. I just

hope Aiden will approve of this and hope theyll get along well, too.

Finally, we pulled away. I stared at him, and he was doing the same thing.

Vynnie, can I do something? My brothers and I were watching this on TV last

night, they said ifyou love each other then you should do it.

Im confused, but nod ahead. Close your eyes. I did as he said. Suddenly, I felt

what like a soft and warm thing on my lips. When I open my eyes, thats what I

saw Edwarddoing what people call it? .Kissing. Hes kissing me. Mummy told me

about it. She said we can only do it with the one we truly love, like her and daddy.

But, why is it felt so amazing yet so wrong. So, I just let him kiss me. I felt him

smile through the kiss. And, suddenly something warm, soft, WET and moving

shoved into my mouth. I quickly push him away.

He was breathless, Vynnie, why did you stop? It felt good, doesnt it?

No, its wrong, Edward. We cant do it. Mommy said its wrong. I replied.

No, its not. My brothers said itsfun and enjoying.

No, its not. Yes, it does. He started to lean in to me but I back away. Vynnie,

dont you want this? Your momdoesnt have to know this.I back away, again,

preparing to run incase anything got in a wrong way. Mommy told me that, too.

In one big step he caught the back of my head and pulled his face to mine,

crashing his lips to mine. I tried to pull away from him but hes too strong. I waited

when his hand relaxed on the back of my head, I push him away and ran to the

front door, ignoring Edward that was shouting my name to come back.

I cried that night, thankfully, Aiden was there to keep me calm so that my parents

wont hear me. Thats when I realized that Edward is a bad kid and I promised I

will stay away from him from that on.

Yeah, thats how it happened. Since then, I never talked to him. Im the one whos

ignoring him. Until like two months after that he put worm in my shirt and stole

my bike. And, in 5th

grade, he tried to drown me in the swimming pool when my

friends the rich Angelina had her birthday party at her house and everyone was

invited. I dont know why he suddenly did that. The only thing I remember is

having fun there with Aiden. I didnt even go near him. I was with Aiden the whole

time and him dancing with me, giving me a piggyback ride. It was really fun until

Edward and his friends came and crashed it. I really hate him after that!

Remember when I said hes a happy cheerful kid? Yeah, he usedto be. Now, if you

Finally! Ivefinished the first room! Theres no need for a celebration now,

therere still plenty of room here to clean. And, who knows what I might find in

there. So far, Ive found a lot of cockroaches (dead and alive), a dead rats and

even a squirrel!

I know right,fun! .Ever heard of sarcasm? Who knows maybe Ill find a dead

body in the other room.

Edward took me home just like yesterday, I jumped and was about to run but he

caught me, again. Saying, Dont try to run away again,tomorrow, or else, yada

yada yada. I rolled my eyes. No need to remind me twice! This time, he lean

closer, only to say goodbye and have a good night to me. His lips almost touch

my cheek when I turn my head away. Hoping he didnt see me blushed. Then, he

walked back to his bike and sped away. I blinked a few times to adjust what just

happen.

As soon as I enter the house, I quickly pick the phone up to call Aiden. It didnt

take long for him to answer. Vynnie, is that you? he asked, in a panic voice.

I smiled, rolling my eyes. No, its Sally her imaginary friend here to tell you that

her mom took away all of her stufffor a month. And, also she said Hi and

apologized for not telling you sooner. Shes too busy building me a house made of

cardboard to put in her room so she can play dolly dollydress up with me

everyday while youre away. It was quiet for a moment. Then, suddenly he burst

out laughing. I had to lean away from the phone.

After the laughter quiet down, I put it back on my ear, Oh Hey there, Aiden! I

didnt hear you call. I miss you! Sorry about sally, though. You remember my

imaginary friend, dont ya? I joked. Glad to finally hear him, again.

Vynnie! I miss you, too! And, your crazy jokes. Thank God you decided to callnow otherwise I would be in a fucking plane by now.

Yeah, sorry about that. Mom took away my phone too. I lied.

But, I promise to call you everyday as soon as I get home. At least, I know I

would keep this promise.

Promise? he asked. I can imagine he was pouting.

Promise. So, how are you feeling? Did your mom do her job pretty good or

what? If shes not then just say the words and Ill be there to kidnap you back.

He chuckled, I love a good fight over me.

Yeah, when one of them happens to be your momma dearest and the other

ones your dorky best friend. Who doesnt love that! He laughed.

So, hows it like there? Hasany girl capture your heart yet? he sighed, No, not

here, though. What did he mean? He never told me about this. I can hear a hintof sadness in his voice, though. I was about to ask him but he cut me in, Hows

your day so far?

I shrugged, Same old. Same old. Except you werent here.

The next day I woke up feeling exhausted and moody.

I went to school feeling woozy and all I want to do is just crawl back to bed and

went to sleep. But, I had already halfway towards the school. As I walked, my

mind was elsewhere. Somehow I kept thinking about Edward and the memory ofmy childhood. I dont know why I suddenly thought of him, its not like I miss him,

right?

Okay, I admit! Since the time we had the talked I mean, Real talk yesterday,

Ive been having this weird feeling inside me. I dont know what it means. Though

Im sure its nothing.

I hate it when he tried to remind me of our childhood. I know it was fun back then

but the past is the past, we can never go back.But, I cant deny that I miss the old

him.

I sighed. Maybe, its best for us to stay like this forever.

Ring!

I can hear the school bell rang from where I stood from the parking lot, I havent

realized I was daydreaming and it took all my time to get to school. Now, Im

officially late, again!

So, I ran the whole way there.

As I ran towards the empty hallway, I saw a guy standing there, facing me. I

stopped. By the look on his face and clothes, he must be one of the Edwards

friends. Though Ive never seen him before. He even wears the same black leather

jacket. And, is good looking, too! Not that Im interested or anything. Mind you.

He smiled and walked his way towards me, holding a red rose on his hand. He

stopped in front of me, smirking. He lifts his hand with the rose, For you. He
