Dale Hollow Fish HatcheryThe Dale Hollow Fish Hatchery is located below dale Hollow Dam. Operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, this National Fish Hatchery
stocks approximately 1.5 million rainbow, brown, and lake trout annually to the waters of Tennessee. Visitors are welcome to tour the hatchery and aquarium,the hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm daily. For more information, contact Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery, (931) 243 2443
Reciprocal FishingTennessee and Kentucky have a reciprocal agreement so that a fishing license from either state is valid.
The Dale Hollow Reciprocal Fishing Water is recognized in the Wolf River, including Illwill Creek, beginning at a line crossing the Wolf Riverat its mouth where it joins the Obey River.
Dale Hollow HuntingCheck with your Ranger for information about boundaries. Use extra caution when near a shoreline.
The lake was purchased in the late 1930's early 1940's. In some areas boundaries included entire tracks while others just set aside a minimum.As an example, Red Oak Ridge Trail area covers lots of acreage, while near Gum Grove there is very little.

Primitive Shoreline CampingShoreline camping is permitted in designated areas only. An advance shoreline campingpermit is required and can be obtained by contacting the NRRS at (877) 444 6777 orwww.recreation.gov. See Primitive Camping map for site locations and primitive campingdetails.
Corps Watch Hotline (866) 413 7970Help protect Dale Hollow Lake's valuable natural resources. If you see someone damaging orstealing government property through vandalism, tree cutting, or removal of historicartifacts, etc. call this hotline. Callers can get up to a $1,000 reward for information leadingto the prosecution of anyone committing crimes against U.S. Army Corps of Engineersproperty. Callers can remain anonymous.
Life Jackets Worn...Nobody Mourns!A strong swimmer averages 10 minutes to put on a life jacket after entering the water.Wearing a life jacket buys time for you to be rescued. Many drowning victims never intendedto enter the water. It takes an average of 60 seconds for an adult to drown, and just 20seconds for a child. Water related Fatalities: 88% Men; 84% No Life Jacket Worn; 27%Boating Falls. Regardless of how well you swim, you could have to fight for your life due tounexpected conditions such as waves, current, exhaustion or injury. Swimming abilities arelikely to decrease with age, so please don't overdo it. If you won't wear a life jacket foryourself, wear it for those who love you. PleaseWearIt.com

No Ski, No Tow ZonesFor your safety, the upper end of the Wolf River and the area adjacent to the Obey River Park and Sunset Marina have been designated asNo Ski, No Tow Zones. Personal Water Craft should not perform abrupt turns or engage in similar acrobatic maneuvers in these areas.

Located between Trooper Island and south of the Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park Lodge, has a 28 foot clearance at 651 elevation.
