The labeling of energy efficiency is part of a European pro-gram for climate change that focuses on energy savings as amethod to reduce CO2 emissions and therefore to complywith the agreements of the Kyoto Protocol. With this program,the European Commission hopes that increased awarenesswill make customers buy the product more economical (andecological) that meets your needs.

What is it?

The energy efficiency label provides information about energyconsumption of the unit. Air conditioning units (with a coolingcapacity of 12Kw) are classified into seven different catego-ries (from A to G), according to their energy consumption, andare encoded with different colors, depending on the cate-gory they belong to. The units that consume less energy areincluded in category A, which is indicated by green arrow onthe label, while those who consume more units belonging tothe G class, indicated with a red arrow on the label. In thisway, the end user can compare the models with similar unitsfrom different brands.

When?

The label is required since the end of June 2004 for deviceswith power not exceeding 12.0 kW refrigeration.

What does it say on the label?

The logo and name of the manufacturer and the name of theexternal or internal (for applications in multiple assemblies,Daikin prefer to mention only 1 outdoor unit with up to 2 indo-or units (wall).

This figure indicates the approximate amount ofenergy the unit consumes in a year, based on astandard for household application. The annual consumption is calculated by multipl-ying the total power consumed by an average of500 hours for one year in cooling mode and fullload. To estimate the total cost of energy con-sumption for one year, simply multiply this amountby the rate of electricity.

Indication of the annual energyconsumption

Power is defined as the cooling capacity of coo-ling equipment in kW, operating in cooling modeand at full load. It is important to acquire a unit ofair conditioning system with a rated output suffi-cient for your cooling needs and cooling or hea-ting. Too large a unit can make frequent stops inand start the unit, which reduces its life.Conversely, too small a unit may not meet yourneeds for heating or cooling. To determine theappropriate power, contact your dealer.

Power Cooling

Is the cooling power of the unit divided by theamount of electricity that the unit needed to pro-duce it (total power). In other words, the higherthe EER, the greater the difference in the unit.

Type of drive system for cooling only or cooling /heating. Cooling mode: air cooled or water.

Energy Efficiency Factor (ENERGY RATIO EFICIENCY, EER)

Power by means of heating the heating capacity ofheat pump equipment in kW, operating in heatingmode and load.

Heating power

Is the heating power of the unit divided by theamount of electricity that the unit needed to pro-duce it (total power). In other words, the higherthe COP, the greater the energy difference of theunit.

In 1982, Daikin established the first air con-ditioning system with INVERTER techno-logy throughout the world and began tosell systems Variable Refrigerant Volume(VRV), a new technology that improvesthe conventional air conditioning systemsin both cooling and heating.

New Daikin compressors

Daikin has designed its new equipment with R-410 A toachieve higher returns to R-22. The refrigerant R-410 touse the same oil that the ether R-407C and has ano-ther important advantage in practice is azeotropic, sowhen there is a leak remains R'410 A, making it easy toretrieve and reused.

With a capacity of heat transfer a 40% higher than theR-22 and R-407C, the teams with R-410 has a 15% bet-ter performance than the R-407 C.

Thus, Daikin, faithful to its policy of technological inno-vation, presents its full range of domestic R-410 A.

DC INVERTER system allows the distribution of the refrigerant is doneaccurately. Heat pump

Photocatalytic deodorising filter

It is a bactericidal and deodorizingfilter that quickly neutralizes the smellof snuff and animals and also redu-ces the reproduction of bacteriumand micro-organisms trapped in thefilter. If the effectiveness of the filterdecreases, can be restored byexposing it to sunlight.

Filter air purifier

The air filter traps particles down to0.01 microns to purify the air of aroom. The filter has a double-sided electro-static filter cleaning air into the frontside and a deodorizing activatedcharcoal filter in the rear.
