By vote of your board, this is also available to current Paul Harris fellows to reach their next level. This offer is available to you for one month beginning on February 22, 2013 and ending on March 22, 2013. Please contact Dennis or myself for more information. We will have a celebration and recognition of all Paul Harris Fellows at the May 31, 2013 meeting. Have a great day! Teresa Paper Rotary Foundation Chair

The New York Empire Trio has performed in major cities in the United States and abroad. Their repertoire ranges from the early classics to the music of today performing works from the standard chamber music literature and little known masterworks with great success. The Trio members Natasha Lip-kina – violin, Kalin Ivanov – cello, Margrit Zimmermann - piano are winners of many distinguished awards and have had prominent careers in their field. The New York Empire Trio is recognized for their innovative educational programs. They have given chamber music master classes at universities oth-er schools around the country on regular basis. They have led residencies at Western Reserve Academy in Ohio and Brooklyn College in New York. Over the years they have developed a specialization on Eastern European composers in addition to the standard classical repertoire. They have worked closely with Bulgarian composer Roumi Petrova who composed Fanfare for Obama, which they performed at Weill Recital hall at Carnegie Hall in honor of the newly elected President Barack Obama. Their unique repertoire allows them much variety in presenting music to many different types of audiences.

This coming weekend North Scott Rotary will be welcoming the 30 Rotary Youth Exchange students from District 6000, Rotex students, and others, to Davenport. They will be at staying at the Steeplegate Inn Saturday night after a day of activities here, and will return to their host Rotary clubs and families around Iowa on Sunday. These activities are organized by our members Dennis Peterson and Paul Kalainoff, who serve on the district Youth Exchange Committee, and their wives, Deb and Susan. I urge each of you to come to the Steeplegate to meet these students, who come from many different countries, and spend some time with them. This is a tremendous opportunity in your own back yard to see the international side of Rotary, engage with Rotary's New Generations, and support an activity of your club, building Peace Through Service. Past District Governor Bill Tubbs
