Your assignment:
Create a parody of a famous painting!
Step ONE
• Find a picture of your original famous painting.• Read a little about the artist’s technique in
painting.• If you want to see examples of art parody, you
can google either art parody or art spoof.
Step TWO
• Make associations, to find ideas that interest you, like:– Pop culture– Your interests– Your pets– Your family– Your town
You have options to consider:
Will you just change the “character” in the painting?
Will you just change the background?
Step THREE
• Show a picture of the original painting you choose to Mrs. Yuzik
* You can sign out a library book, or if you can print in colour at home, you can bring a picture TOMORROW from home.
• Make a sketch first• Paint until complete

Painting must be famous in a sense that it is recognizable to people who know a little something about art.
