Yesterday, Amir and his family went to the zoo. They saw many different animals.

First, they saw the different members of the cat family such as lions, tigers and leopards. Amir saw them eating, playing with one another and even sleeping.

Next, Amir visited the reptile farm at the zoo. Although he was a little frightened by the snakes, he went nearer to have a closer look out of curiosity.

Last night, an accident occurred between two cars on the highway. One of the drivers had lost control of his car. The car skidded and crashed into another car.

A man quickly called for an ambulance while others helped to ease the traffic.

Within several minutes, an ambulance and a police car arrived at the scene. Both the victims were rushed to the hospital. Several eyewitnesses came forward to give a report of the accident to the police. The police thanked the volunteers for their civic-mindedness.


Yesterday, a few shophouses along Jalan Ceria were on fire. The fire started in a textile shop and soon spread to the other shops nearby.

The residents of the shophouses poured buckets of water to put out the fire, but to no avail.

One of them quickly called the fire department. The fire brigade arrived within minutes. They managed to put out the fire in a short while.

The shophouses were in ruins after the fire. Although they suffered a great loss, the shop owners of Jalan Ceria were thankful that no lives were lost in the incident.


During the last school holidays, Kasim and his family went on a holiday to Kota Kinabalu. They took a flight there.

When they reached Kota Kinabalu, they checked into a hotel. Then, they walked around the town and had a sumptuous dinner at one of the local restaurants.

The next morning, they visited the famous Kinabalu Park. It was very crowded as it was the holiday season. The park looked beautiful with lots of colourful flowering plants.

Kasim and his family hiked up Mount Kinabalu. They were excited to reach the peak. It was a tiring but memorable experience for them.
