Dance
Dance is art involving body movements often set to rhythm and music.
It is a form of emotional expression, social interaction, or exercise.
In a performance it is sometimes used to express ideas or tell a story.

Ballet
Ballet originated during the 15th Century Italian Renaissance
Ballet may consist of a choreography and music production
A well-known example of this is The Nutcracker, by Tchaikovsky
Breakdancing
Breakdancing, also called b-boying, is a form of solo
dancing that originated among Black and Puerto
Rican youths in New York City during the early
1970s
It is usually performed to the rhythm of hip hop or
funk music
Folk dance
Folk dance is a traditional dance that originated among the common people of a nation or region
It is usually associated with social activities
Popular folk dances in Europe are polka, verbuňk, square dance, and polonez
Disco dancing
Disco originated in the 1970's
It is characterized by hip and pelvic moves, along with raised arms, while wearing disco-inspired clothing
Latin/Rhythm
Latin dance includes a wide range of dances originating in Latin
America, Cuba and Puerto Rico
It is also a term which is used to name a category of
international style ballroom dances
Historical dance
Historical dance includes a wide range of styles from the past as they are danced
in the present usually at themed balls
There are different categories of historical dance such as medieval
and renaissance
