Organization
Frazier Industrial introduced structural steel storage racks to the storage industry in 1949. Frazier offers
innovative storage solutions, pallet mole carts, case and pallet flow systems, rack-supported structures,
pick to belt mezzanine systems and full Project Management Services. Frazier is the only company in
the storage industry to use 100 percent hot-rolled structural steel in its rack systems, making its
products stronger than the competitions. Headquartered in Long Valley, N.J., Frazier Industrial has
more than 10 manufacturing locations throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. The company
also maintains 10 sales offices in the U.S.
Department Role
Frazier Engineering is developing a displacement based design approach to model braced frames under
seismic forces. A certified force displacement curve is to be developed from the tests which provides
the cross-aisle displacement at the top of the rack as a function of totally applied lateral force. The
lateral load is to be applied by servo-hydraulic actuators and the displacement is measured by linear
displacement transducers. For more information contact Nathan Bissonnette at 310-526-2537.
