A highly disciplined, resourceful and experienced mechanical engineering manager with experience in managing people, processes and equipment. With skilled planning techniques and an in depth knowledge of lean processes the most complex projects are completed with relative ease and to schedule. 14 years experience working in workshops, military environments (three tours of Afghanistan) and various countries around the world controlling the maintenance, repair and inspection of a varied vehicle fleet including both wheeled and armoured tanks. A skilled manager that is capable of getting the best from individuals and managing career paths in order to progress individuals forward for the benefit of both the company and individual.

Achievements Successful implementation of safe systems of work for a workshop that grew from 13 employees
working on lightweight wheeled vehicles to 65 employees working on heavily armoured tanks. This was also validated by an external audit.

Engineering Manager 1 PWRR LAD - Oct 2014 – Present
Key Responsibilities
Managing the inspection, maintenance and repair of wheeled and armoured vehicles, weapons, sighting systems and ancillaries, in order to maintain the fleet and equipment at a high readiness state (deployable within 48 hrs).
Analyses the output requirements of the company and prioritize, work, the application of man power and resources to achieve the desired results, always on time and within constraints.
Brief senior management on matters such as production output, manning requirements, risk and equipment care.
Managing subordinates career development, military and engineering trade training and soldiers’ education (approx. 12 personnel at any one time) .
Ensure the highest standard of discipline and military values and standards are upheld by subordinates and provide mentoring if necessary. Including mid and yearly performance reviews.
Achievements Successful completion of an external assessment into all systems of work. This required sustaining vehicle equipment to a high readiness state while facing an enemy force. Constraints were imposed such as time and limitation of spares. The use of battle damage repairs and working around the clock were conducted in order to meet required outcome.
