Worked as a Process Engineer at SAIPEM TRUINE ENGINEERING from May 2010 to April 2011 Worked as a Junior Engineer for CREST ENGINEERING from Feb 2005 to Feb 2007PROJECTS SUMMARYProject #1Title :SHELL-QATAR PETROLEUM PROJECT Client
:SHELLDuration :May 2013 to March 2014Technologies :ASPEN, HYSYS, PALSE, VIESA,Description :The project is to design and develop a Petrochemical project in Ras Laffatin, Qatar. Its a feed Lump sum project compromising three units.1. MEG Unit with shell as Licensor
2. OXO Unit with Mitsubishi as licensor
3. LAO unit with shell as a licensor
4. UTILITIES Studied the PFD and P&IDs of Project
Control valve sizing Pump Hydraulic calculations Design of Tanks Preparing Interface tables Updating control valve, tank, exchanger data sheetsProject #2Title :Gas Sweetening Unit Client
:Vinati Organics LimitedDuration :October 2011 to Till Date
Technologies :ASPEN, HYSYS
Description :The project is to design and develop a Gas sweetening Unit. Gas sweetening plant is a vital operating unit, where the sour contents (H2S and CO2) of the feed gas are removed to make it sweet for processing. In the Gas Sweetening process, the sour contents present in the feed natural gas are removed by chemical absorption technique with amines. The feed gas for train-3 is HP gas (780 psig); the sour content H2S and CO2 would be at 2.2% and 4.0% respectively. And the sweetened gas (per design) would have 5 ppm H2S and 50 ppm CO2. The H2S and CO2 gases present in feed natural gas are normally soluble in water to form acidic solutions, the gas are counter contacted with amines. Later amines with acidic gases are stripped removing 99% of acid compounds.
Heat and Mass Balance Calculations Studied the PFD and P&IDs of Project
Design of Heat Exchanger Design of Washer, stripperProject #3Title :Gas Dehydration Unit Client
:Aditya Birla groupDuration :May 2011 to September 2011Technologies :ASPEN, HYSYS
Description :Glycol dehydration unit is to remove water from natural gas and natural gas liquids. When produced from a reservoir natural gas usually contains a large amount of water and is typically completely saturated or at the water dew point. This water can cause several problems for downstream processes and equipment. At low temperatures the water can either freeze in piping or, as is more commonly the case, form hydrates with CO2 and hydrocarbons (mainly methane hydrates. Lean, water-free glycol (purity >99%) is fed to the top of an absorber (also known as a "glycol contactor") where it is contacted with the wet natural gas stream. The glycol removes water from the natural gas by physical absorption and is carried out the bottom of the column.Responsibilities :
Co-ordinating a multi-discipline team to ensure timely and quality delivery of Project Heat and Mass Balance Calculations Studied the PFD and P&IDs of Project
Design of Absorber and stripper for Dehydration unit.Project #4 Title :Revamping of ONGC Offshore Project SagarLakshmi Client
:ONGC
Duration :January2011 to April 2011Technologies :ASPEN, HYSYS
Description :This is a case Study to Install an Additional Separator at ONGC Offshore Platform SAGARLAKSHMI. Along With the Existing Separators an Additional Separator has to be placed so as to Increase the Production. Different cases have been developed using HYSYS and all the cases have been sent for client Final Review.Responsibilities :
