- 20 anni di esperienza di ricerca nel campo delle telecomunicazioni e dell’elaborazione dei segnali con

57 pubblicazioni su riviste internazionali (perlopiù edite dall’IEEE) e oltre 90 pubblicazioni su atti di

conferenza

- Oltre 15 anni di esperienza di insegnamento universitario nelle materie del SSD ING-INF/03

Telecomunicazioni e di supervisione di studenti di dottorato e di giovani ricercatori.

- Al momento attivamente impegnato in attività di ricerca sui sistemi di comunicazione cellulare di quinta

generazione

- Professore associato a tempo pieno dal 2002; ha ricevuto all’unanimità l’abilitazione nazionale alla I

fascia ai sensi dell'art. 16 della Legge n. 240/2010 per il SSD ING-INF/03 Telecomunicazioni in

entrambe le tornate 2012 e 2013

- Ha forti legami con molti gruppi di ricerca a livello europeo ed extra-europeo; attivamente impegnato

Nel 2012 è stato membro della Commissione di valutazione di accertamento finale per il progetto “Reti

Wireless ad alto grado di mobilità e di sopravvivenza” , presentato dalla Thales Italia Spa ai sensi

dell’art. 9 L. 297/1999 – progetto MIUR n. 12164 – decreto n. 605 del 5/472007.

Nel 2014 è stato valutatore di progetti di ricerca nell’ambito del bando SIR 2013.

Dal 2010 al 2016 è stato Vice-presidente del Consiglio del Corso di Studi in Ingegneria

dell’Informazione

Attività di ricerca Stefano Buzzi è impegnato in attività di ricerca nel campo delle telecomunicazioni a partire dal 1995. Al

momento, la sua attività di ricerca è principalmente incentrata sui sistemi di comunicazione wireless di quinta

generazione. Nel corso della sua carriera, egli si è tuttavia occupato anche delle seguenti tematiche:

1. Elaborazione di segnali in ambiente di rumore non Gaussiano.

2. Sistemi di comunicazione radiomobili ad accesso multiplo a divisione di codice.

3. Sistemi di comunicazione radio con antenne multiple.

4. Elaborazione del segnale radar per la rivelazione ed il tracking.

5. Allocazione ottimale delle risorse in reti wireless.

7. Applicazioni della teoria dei giochi alle reti di telecomunicazioni.

8. Qualità del Servizio su reti IP su ATM.
