    Method statement for cement stabilized gravel (C S G) will be as below:

    1) Excavate area to required level.

    2) Screen material at spoil area.

    3) Mix material.

    - Load screened material into pugmill hopper- Load cement into Pugmill silo- Load water into pugmill.

    The conveyor belt on the pugmill shall be calibrated by timing the belt andweighting the amount of material on the belt in the given time.

    The gate on the cement hopper shall be set and the flow calculated byweighing the amount of cement on the belt in a given time

    The gate of the cement hopper shall be adjusted to be coordinated withthe flow of material to 60kg +/- 10kg cement per meter cube of material.

    The water flow rate shall be adjusted to allow the addition of water to OMC+/- 5%

    4) Transport

    The material shall be transported from the pugmill to the placing area byADT/Tipper Trucks at the placing area.

    5) Placing and compaction

    The material shall tipped and spread by loader and or grader. Once thematerial has been spread it shall be compacted by 10T vibrating roller andpedestrian roller.

    6) Cure With Water From Water Tanker( within 2 hrs from placement)

    Notes

    The slopes shall be overbuilt to allow for compaction on the edges. The slope shall be trimmed to correct line and level by excavator

    Proposed placing rate is 200m3 per day.

    Plant and method statement shall be finalized after completion oftrial section

    Cure with bitumen once reaching final level

    ALTERNATIVE METHOD STATEMENT

    1) Screen materials at spoil bank

    2) Transport material to placing area

    3) Spread material with loader/grader to required thickness with added

    water and condition to OMC +/- 5 %

    4) Layer to be over built to allow for compaction on edges.

    5) Layout cement at the required spacing and empty the bags.

    6) Mix with re-claimer

    7) Compact with vibrating rollers to required compaction.

    8) Cure with water

    Notes

    Cement to be PPC 32.5

    Trim slopes to correct line and level.

    Rate 300m3/Day
