Instructions: There are 4 Steps for filling out this Historical Load Data Tab. Some steps require data input and the yellow cells are those cells that require this data input.

1. Insert your AEE name.

2. Please provide the Gross Historical Load information in the template (in yellow) for each hour of year 2002. The load data will automatically be separated into ON and OFF peak columns. This column is seeded with test data, please over-write with appropriate data.

3. Trigger the load duration calculating macro by pressing down the control button and simultaneously pressing the key s, or hit the "Push Me to Run Macro" button. The macro will calculate the ON and OFF peak load duration curves for each of the 12 months of the year 2002. The ON and OFF peak 0.5 % load levels for each of the months will also be determined (green cells and table). The ON and OFF peak annual load metric will also be determined.

4. Insert the ETC value. If you do not have any ETC value, insert 0.

The ON-peak and OFF-peak annual upper-bounds for CRR request are the shown in the blue cells in red font.

Instructions: There are 3 Steps for filling out this Forecasted Load Data Tab. Some steps require data input and the yellow cells are those cells that require this data input.

1. Insert your AEE name.

2. Please provide the Forecasted Monthly Load information in the template (in yellow) for each hour of months: June 03, Aug 03, Nov 03, Mar 04. The load data will automatically be separated into ON and OFF peak columns. This column is seeded with test data, please over-write with appropriate data.

3. Trigger the load duration calculating macro by pressing down the control button and simultaneously pressing the key m, or hit the "Push Me to Run Macro" button. The macro will calculate the ON and OFF peak load duration curves for each of the 4 months. The ON and OFF peak 0.5 % load levels for each of the months will also be determined (green cells and table). For the forecasted months, the 0.5 % load level for the ON and OFF peak is the ON and OFF peak monthly load metric, respectively.

The ON-peak and OFF-peak annual upper-bounds for CRR request are the shown in the blue cells in the red font.

Following is an example of a set of requests from AEE1 (a sample AEE) for an annual term (6/1/03 to 5/31/04) CRR of 1000 MW for the peak period. The Sink of this CRR is PGE3 (see Standardized Sink Names tab). Since the request must be Point-to-Point, the Sink is broken into multiple request and each of these multiple requests are paired up with a particular Source. In this example, the Sink is broken into 5 portions and each portion is paired with the following Sources: ResourceID1, ResourceID2, ResourceID3, ResourceID4, ResourceID5. Note that these are not actual Source names but in this example they are assumed to be either generator Resource IDs or inter-tie scheduling point Resource IDs.

Note that the pairing of Sources and Sinks are linked with the CRR ID, thus for CRR ID = 3, 200 MW of PGE3 is paired with ResourceID3.

Suppose that there is another AEE (AEE2) that is requesting annual on-peak CRRs of 2000 MW in PGE3. Suppose that AEE2 has some long-term energy contracts to serve its load and these contracts will be scheduled as inter-SC trades (i.e., are traded at Trading Hubs). In this example, the 2000 MW CRR is again broken into different portions and each portion is served by Trading Hubs and generators (i.e., not all of the load is served by the contracts, thus some generators are also used). For example, there is 500 MW Point-to-Point CRR request from the Source of the Trading Hub SP15 to the Sink of PGE3 (CRR ID = 1).
