Critical Encyclopaedia of Re-use andRestoration of 20th Century Architecture

The research project presents a systematic inventory of topics related to 20th century buildings as objects of guardianship, a criti-cal reflection on these topics, new knowle-dge in hitherto unexplored domains, as well as a selection of intervention strategies and practical tools. The main goal of the project is to provide architects, engineers, professionals from preservation departments and institutions, faculty members and students, with the competencies and knowledge needed to discover and enhance recent heritage fe-atures. The Encyclopaedia project has also the aim of making the world of architectu-ral design more aware of restoration, reuse and sustainability issues.
