• The main purpose of the innovation and investment projects within the University’s program “The integration of agricultural education, science and production“ is the organization of the ultra-modern production to improve quality of students practical training, the formation of their innovative thinking and enhancing research and innovation activities of the University as well as staffing partner companies and further University’s development.

The tasks of “Educational-scientific-production pig complex of Agrarian
University ” project:
- Educational and scientific usage of up-to-date world technologies;
- jobs creation;
- basis for the professional skills’ training, educational and industrial students’ practice;
- skills development of technologists and lecturers of HEIs on livestock production; - providing of foreign and national markets with the pork of high-quality; - provision of agrarian enterprises and population by pedigree cattle; development of scientific researches on a national scale

The building of primary processing
Project Readiness • a package of design and estimate documentation for $ 37,500 is
developed;
• public examination of project estimates for $ 6,900 is done;
• Land lot for construction (97,78 he, including 66,37 he for pig complex);
• a pig complex project with passed state examination is developed;
• a positive opinion from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the Institute of pig breeding and agrarian production of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine is received;
• the idea of creating Educational - scientific and industrial pig complex is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Investments’ need: The investment costs (according to the
current rate of NBU) is: UAH 97mln ($ 4 mln 650 тhou.),
including:
• UAH 93,61mln – construction and purchase of equipment;
• UAH 2, 46mln – providing of technological process during the profitless period;
• UAH 931thou – purchase of the main herd.
Key indicators of the project’s efficiency :
• projected payback - 6,5 years; • the profitability of pig complex- 55,2%; • The local budget revenues increase; • 25 jobs’ creation; • Improvement of professional training’s level of more
than 300 students annually; • Advanced training of livestock technologists and HEIS’
lecturers; • Development of scientific researches on breeding
processes.
Forecasted production volumes:
І stage. The population of sows - 210, the number of calves sold per year - 3900, including annual sales volume of pedigree cattle – 1304heads. The average productivity of sows - 11.2heads, average daily gain - 750-950g, the sales volume of meat in slaughter weight - 468 tons per year.
ІІ stage. The increase in the production volumes of pig farm with 550 sows (10 000 head of young pigs per year), biogas plant, meat-processing complex.
