    Creation of Adam

Various terms can be refer in regard the process of Adams creation. From the pointof the body there are many verses of the Quran states that Adam was created fromthe ground. Among the verses are from surah Al-Kahf: 37, Al-Hajj: 5, Al-Rum: 20, Al-

    Fatir: 11 and Al-Ghafur: 6.

    Word of Allah, means:

He who has made Everything which He has created Most Good: He began thecreation of man with (nothing more than) clay, And made his progeny from aquintessence of the nature of a fluiddespised

    (al-Sajadah, 32 : 7-8)

Allah has made it clear in this verse that the first human i.e Adam was made fromdust, then his descendants made from semen, despised (Takiyuddin Hj Mohd

    Ibrahim, 2004).

Humans are creatures created by Allah. They are created from the ground. This landhas been described by scholars as a combination of two essential elements i.e of soiland water.

    Word of Allah, means:

He who has made Everything which He has created Most Good: He began thecreation of man with (nothing more than) clay,

    (al-Sajadah, 32:7)

Land used to form the body of the Prophet Adam as the first man is a mix of the red, white and black soil. Therefore, the difference can be seen to this day among thedescendants of people living in this world.

The process of creation of Adam through several stages with reference to someappropriate verses.

First: The Quintessence Of The Nature On The LandAt this stage it appears that Allah did some filtering dust. This process seeks to

obtain quintessence of the nature of land which is clean and well suited to be used asone element of human creation. This indicates that land use is through observationand not from the soil as thought this day. This is in line with the dignity given by Allahto mankind. In another aspect shown is the greatness of Allah as the creator of Hiscreation.

Dr. Maurice Bucaille described with reference to Surah al-Furqan: 54 that the humanlineage is derived from water called the quintessence of the nature of sperm or inscientific as the spermatozoon. So he saw the quintessence of the nature of land setforth above shall be referred to with various other components includingquintessence of the nature of land, and quintessence of the nature of water to be the

most important element in the creation of man.Second: Clay or Stick Properties

At this stage, known as the land attached or the clay is basically a stick properties.Al-Qurtubiyy explained that at this stage, soil conditions or flattened at each other. Then this land will be the hard ground. At this stage, Al-Qurtubiyy also explained inthe commentary that people associated with the first Adam is said to remain as a

board-shaped clay. Apart from that period it was in this situation for forty years untilhis physical attributes become hard and dry.

Third: The smell of the Land ( )According to theinterpretation ofDr. MauriceBucaille is defined asmud ororganicsoil anddoes not focus onmeaning, such asthe changingof blackmud andhas adistinctiveodor. This isdue tomixingprocessesbetween land andwater hasoccurred

    Fourth: Hard Land ( )

This word is not perfect if the parable is not explained with the whichmeans like pottery. It is clear that at this stage of the physical aspects of man createdby Allah to be in a hard form. Ab al-Hasan Tibris explained that with a severephysical, it can produce sounds that rattle twang, and repeatedly in the air like thesound of iron beating wind. This level indicates that the time for Adam to be acomplete man has arrived. This stage is seen as the last stage of the creation of manfrom the physical aspects, including the first three stages as described earlier.

The fifth and final stage: The Spirit blowingThe fifth stage is to show the process of creation the first man (Adam) from thespiritual, having completed the physical aspects to become a man. It is said Allah

blew the spirit into Adam through his head and then the angels of Allah taught Adamto praise Allah ( ) .

    The Stage Of Human Creation

Then Allah created the next generation through the merger of the male seed out ofthe coccyx and the seed of the woman resulting in the sternum (Unit BimbinganRohani PERMATA, 2002). In the Quran Allah has explained the process of human

creation and divided it into nine stages.Word of Allah, means:

Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay), Then We placed him as ( a dropof) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed, Then We made the sperm into a clot ofcongealed blood; Then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump;then We made out ofthat lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed out of itanother creature; So blessedbe Allah,The Best to create, After that at lenghtYe willdie, Again on the Day of Judgement, will ye be Raised up.

    (al-Muminun, 23: 12-16)

Nine stages described in the above verse are:

    1. First Stage, created from the ground. This stage only occurs during the creationof Adam2. Second Stage, Nutfah the merger between the seed stage, men and womenwho gave birth to human3. Third Stage, alaqah turned into a lump of blood clots.4. Fourth Stage, mudghah the blood clot change into a lump of chunks of meat5. Fifth stage, 'Izam, the bone6. Sixth stage, the formation of man and the merger between the bones and meat

    7. Seventh stage, the spirit breathed into the human body8. Eighth stage, human beings are born to earth and lived9. Ninth stage, Resurrected after death while waiting for the Day of Judgement

In addition, there is a hadith related to the above verse:

Whereas a proportion of you are gathered in his mother's womb for 40 days, thenthe alaqah (clot) such that (40 days), then he is mudghah (lump meat) such that (40days). Then Allah sent an angel, then ordered him (the angel) four words. And said tothe angels: you write good, and the provision and proper and wretched or happy. Then blown into the spirit of being...
